Wako and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly during check in. She even followed up later to confirm I was enjoying my stay. The upgrade fee to a larger king room on the 27th floor was very reasonable and fair. Most of the rooms have a shower seperate from bath tub with rainfall shower, a must for me. The prices were excellent for the property, room, location etc. I plan to stay here again next time if everything remains the same. Nothing.

The staff made sure I was happy with my room. They exceeded my expectations.

Third bed (the makeshift bed) was not as comfortable as the other two.

I could not have been happier with this hotel. I had to do some booking adjustments on the run and they were only too happy to adjust what couldn't be done via this website. The hotel is very opulent, with mutiple plush foyers, sweeping staircases, chandeliers and more. It was not at all what I exepcted when I bowled off the train (which the hotel is just near). The room was large with a comfortable KS bed, which was a bit of a treat after some of the beds in Japan. Good bathroom and toiletries on offer. Sweeping views out to the mountains and ports. Even more miraculous was that the hotel was able to check us in early (unheard of in Japan), so we were able to relax and recharge before headin out for the afternoon. 5 minute walk to the station, where there's also a local tourist bus, 20 minute walk to the Geisha districts, multiple konbini dotted around the hotel.

Location was convenient to the station; a simple "loop" bus from the station took me to the museums and cultural locations I wanted to visit. Room quiet adn the view beautiful over the city to the mountains. I love the experience of an onsen; the hotel does not have one. Management could set up an arrangement with an onsen hotel which allows the public to use it. Advertise onsen availability so guests could access an onsen.

The location was great, just a short walk from the station. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. All staff were very friendly and helpfuyl. Breakfast options were plentiful!

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and provided excellent views of the city at night. The rooms were modern and roomy. The toilet, bathroom, and wash basin were located in 3 separate areas. To take a shower there was no room to undress which is not issue if you are traveling solo. My wife and I ended up undressing in the bathroom and leaving our clothes on the floor just outside the bathroom door. Not a problem for a single night but would not like to repeat this for several days.

I like everything about Nikko Hotel. The view is spectacular at night if you get a room with a window over looking Kanazawa Station.

Very pleasant staff and nice clean rooms. Great location to the train station and bus stops. Lots of places to walk to and eat.
