Very relaxing hotel in a beautiful location, The main activity is the onsen, but the whole structure is enjoyable. The style is quite traditional (e.g. it lacks of a gym and laundry services), but knowing what to expect, the stay is excellent. We liked the onsen, whole hotel structure, cleanliness, kind and professional staff.o

Too many other things were not part of the all-in prices and had to be additionally paid for including some of the private onsen and pool areas

We will definitely come back and stay again, memorable!!

The room was insane. Wide open floor plan, free beverages, stunning view, outdoor onsen bath connected to the balcony and bathroom, and not to mention a glass of champagne by the staff to welcome us for our stay. Food was exceptional, as was the staff who came to serve us in our room for dinner and breakfast the next day. There's also an arcade, lounge, gift shop, and a golf simulator on the lobby floor. Nothing that I can think of.

great hot spring and food little to far from station

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Dinner was truly fabulous, with a delightful menu that exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was more standardized, but still enjoyable. The onsen facilities were a highlight—clean, spacious, and very relaxing. My room offered a stunning panoramic view of the mountains and the hotel pool, and it was immaculate throughout my stay. Overall, it was a fantastic getaway, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone (with or without kids) looking for a relaxing retreat. Nothing

Private onsen! No regular store at hotel to purchase normal items (not gift).

Breakfast was fantastic with both Japanese and American food options. The staff was helpful and booked us a seat on the bus to Osaka. We booked a private onsen for 50 min and wish we booked it for longer—it was amazing. Earlier check in.

Great view from the Mount view room. Nice clean facility The dinner wasn’t as good as expected. Ingredients were subpar except a few slices of Kobe beef.

Very good

It's expensive but it's an entire experience. Everything is exceptional. Make sure to get an uneven numbered room with the front view over the mountains. It's stunning!

Great onsen facilities, feel pampered. Fabulous breakfast. Nicely decorated room and posh common spaces. Hotel is on top of a hill commanding beautiful views of the valley. The dinner included in the package was the hot pot (we had a better version at a ryokan in Kyoto). We would have preferred the choice of a buffet or a la carte, but this is not possible if using Booking.com. This is a hotel for locals, we’ve seen very few foreigners which explains why shopping is not Tax free, etc. Finally, we wanted Japanese massage (it cannot be with oil, not disclosed to us at booking), it was in the room done by some fairly old and frail ladies. So it’s purely relaxation, but expensive for what it is at JpY 7,500/pers

Room, onsens and the food for breakfast and lunch were amazing! The rooms with the private baths were amazing! The view from the balcony was amazing especially after the random snow shower at night!
-
A bit too crowded for our liking and there are stains on the table cloth as these are not changed but instead just cleaned to the best ability of the staff. For the onsen, there should be a small towel provided rather than us having to bring one from the room. There should also be body lotion provided.

Amazing hotel. Not a cheap one, but it is definitelly worth the money. We definitelly recommend to take a room with a view, seeing mountains in the morning was wonderful. We didn't have a ryokan-type room but were still amazed by the quiality of everything - cleanliness, design, etc. Our room had a capsule coffee machine, a set for drinking tea, hair brushes, hair pins and other small things that added a pinch of comfort to our stay. The hotel also provides guests with Japanese-style clothing: a set of a "shirt" and pants, and a yukata. You can walk in it everywhere in the hotel which was very nice. The hotel has public onsens on two floors, both have open-air baths. The staff is very understanding and would help with the rules of visiting. You can also book private onsens that turned out to be not very expensive. Sometimes the hotel holds special events. We managed to visit stargazing and saw Jupiter through a telescope while eating sweet potatos! The hotel provides a bus that regularly travels through the Arima village. You can also call the hotel to pick you up. The village itself is very beautiful. There is a ropeway to the nearby mountain. I heard you can also hike to the summit. We wish we stayed longer

The facilities are very perfect. Ie. shuttle bus from/to hotel to train station and ropeway, varieties of gold and silver onsens in one place are stunning we didn’t have to go other onsens to try both of them. Dinner and breakfast are excellence. Staffs at front and dining room are very professional and great service mind. Price is quite high. Breakfast time from 6.30 to 9.30 am is quite short so during 8.30 to 9.00 am are very crowded.
