Stayed at the Horizon Club. Everything was perfect. Afternoon tea, evening cocktail was nice with variety of food and the menu changed everyday. Staff was great especially Rey and Hana. Had breakfast at Lemon Garden and the food choices were excellent. Room was spacious and well maintained the shower cubicle is small. At the swimming pool some female guest went into the pool without proper swimming attire

We booked a suite, the second time in 3 months. It was great yet again. There was some difficulty in getting a 'rollaway bed' provided for our son this time (the suite only has twin beds OR a double bed). There's plenty of room for the rollaway in the suite living room, but our request kept being rejected. Finally we contacted a manager and he approved it. it's a weird attitude though, because we could easily book a rollaway bed for the smaller room options in the hotel. Why reject a rollaway bed for the larger suites? We were happy to pay for it! On checkout day we slept late and came down to the Horizon Lounge for breakfast at 11am. I knew that formal breakfast would be over by then, but there are usually small buffet dishes there round the clock. But, we found out there was to be no food in the lounge until about 2pm. We then went down to the Lemongrass Restaurant to find some food. Nope - no food until lunchtime. OK, in that case we headed for the 'coffee shop' beside the garden - only to find it closed. So we were in a 5 star hotel, in the late morning, and not a morsel of food to be had! We finally discovered that the small rear end of the lounge had some food - a minimal lunch menu, and the 'snack' section is (again) only available from 2pm! Come on Shangrila! This is not fit for a 5 star hotel in Asia's food capital. At least keep the coffee shop open until 2PM if you aren't serving anywhere else!

The room was fantastic! It was plenty big for one person. The location was great and only 10 minutes walking distance to KLCC and 15 mintues to other places too. The Breakfast had everything and more someone could ask for. All sorts of cuisines - Malay, Chinese, Japanese, Western and of course desert.

Pool was outdated and felt dirty

The property is very old, there was a smell in the room. Breakfast is average. I wouldn’t stay there again
-
