Nothing to complain about; everything went as expected. However, it would be nice to have housekeeping service at least every other day.

The outdoor onsen was beautiful but a little small. The staff was very nice and the room was in a beautiful and quiet location. The walking paths were also very lovely. The food was disappointing. I understand that they change their menu frequently, so maybe we just got unlucky. Also, the futons were so thin that we had to stack our futons on top of each other and try not to fall off one futon. Additionally, they did not refill our water container when they changed over the room.

Room: no shades, very clear in the morning. Very small, nowhere to seat. Check in: we arrived 3:40pm. They didn’t allow our check in because “the system wouldn’t allow it”, even though the room was ready. Check out: no places to leave the e luggage for a few hours after check out. Staff: we arrived with luggage and were kept waiting in the door even though there was a staff at the reception seeing us waiting outside - she said we were supposed to dial the password we received by email (one line in a 60 lines email). Location: not close to any of the main attractions or main areas.

Decent size room, desk area, WIFI worked well, in residential area so was mostly quiet, 2 complimentary water bottles, free washer/dryer to use, microwave and toaster in main kitchen area, recycling bins near main eating area No face cloths, dirty shower vent, food stain on the wall by the desk, hardly any counter space by bathroom sink area, long walk from JR Kyoto station (15 minutes), Gojo subway station is nearby (4 minutes)

Very pretty and comfortable. Check in process was a bit difficult

Great location, close to the metro station but private enough that it's quiet. The kitchen on the first floor was helpful. as well as washing machines. For some reason I really enjoyed a tub and washing area in this room, it was just right. The bed was not fixed to the floor so it kept sliding out of place when you lean on the wall. The bed is easily movable around the room.

Very comfy bed and airy light modern decor. Fresh towels

Amazing property and stay. Easy check in and out. Bonus points for luggage storage for couple of hours after check out. Nothing to comment. All amazing.

New renovation. Very clean and well renovated. Staff were nice. There's also a common kitchen area. I stayed for 1 month, so it was nice to be able to cook sometimes. Location was amazing. Close to the Gojo Station (Karasuma subway line), buses, restaurants, etc without being too touristy. Quiet at night. The faucet in the bathroom is shared by the shower and the face basin, so the water comes out too strong and splashes everywhere.

Staying at this property was one of the best parts about our Japan trip. Super easy to check in, surrounding location very quiet and calm. Staff was sweet and friendly. Our room was very spacious which made for a wonderful stay. Nothing worth complaining about!

One of the washing machines wad broken, it takes longer waiting time than it should be. I called once to the desk, however nobody picked up.

Good location away from crowds

Great location! Very nice hotel, good facilities and the room i booked was a tatami so i really enjoyed the experience The tatami was very flat so it was almost as if you were sleeping on the floor. If it was thicker it would definitely be more confortable. Apart from that everything was great.

Good location near an amazing temple and a bunch of restaurants. The room had nice facilities and was a little more spacious than our last Japanese hotel. I liked that this place was nice and clean. One of our futons was a bit flat and left my back a little sore. Also, check-in was confusing because they sent the code to my email a few hours before check-in, but I was not able to see it because I didn't have internet. They should consider that not all foreigners have cell service upon arrival. Luckily, I was able to sign in on my husband's phone, but then it turned out the code was the code to get our key from the little box inside. All this was going on while a worker was at the desk, so they just let me in. If they have a worker there anyway, it might just be easier to do a normal check-in. Or, they could send the code way ahead of time like some other places do so I can screenshot it. It was just unnecessarily tedious. I hope you guys can fix this process.

Note that there's not staff present 24 hours - this is not a negative point for me, but might be for some people. I found the bed too hard for my comfort, but it was exactly as posted here, so it was my choice to try it out. See above notes - not negative for me, but points to be aware for other travelers.

A little dusty at the headboard. Rest of the room is fine.

Beautiful hotel! I loved the ryokan-style rooms with tatami mat and futon. The futon on the floor was pretty comfortable and there were two large balconies with great views of the Kyoto Tower. Pajamas and slippers were included. There’s a low table and cushions in the room and a tea set, as well as mini fridge and microwave. There’s laundry on the first floor and an elevator. Very close to subway at Gojo Station and a convenient 7-11 in a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood. I’d definitely stay again.

Room was spacious and pretty, enough room for all of our luggage and some re-packing to be done. We were incredibly lucky that every time we had a delivery (luggage, pizza, ourselves!) someone was there to give us a little help when we were struggling or something was earlier than scheduled. They have umbrellas for free-use which is very useful with it being spring while my mother and I visited. I really enjoyed our stay here. Location took a bit of getting used to getting out of/into, but once you had that down it wasn't bad. The door keypad randomizes the sequence of numbers so punching them in isn't quick and easy either.
