The location was great - in the middle of Gion with access to a lot of shops and restaurants. Be careful not to lose the hotel key card - they run 2200yen each!

The location was incredible, right in the heart of Gion. Plenty nearby that was easily accessible on foot, and also well connected via public transport, both train and bus. We ate really well, and travelled all over the city in our couple of days. Bathroom was small, but this is to be expected in Japan, and not a unique feature of this hotel.

The staff was lovely, the rooms are clean and it is at a great location. A bit small but that was anticipated!

No daily housekeeping offered, only every 3 days. Since I stayed for 3 days, this meant I got no housekeeping. But they did replace towels and take trash daily.

I didnt like that there was water dripping from the airco. It started when raining, also the bathroom was very stanky and we couldn’t get rid of the scent. To noisy, people stayed next rooms where shouting in the hallway early in rhe morning which woke us up so many times.

-mostly clean, but a few hairs on one of the beds and dust bunnies on the couch and a few other locations (considering the price we had to pay, had to mention this) -pillows made from straws (?) or feathers were slightly uncomfortable -no water or any beverages in the fridge or outside included in the price

The location; size of room was adequate, compared to the other hotels in Japan; Clean The staff were very nice but they should be more knowledgeable about the area they are in. We rely on the front desk for general information on the area where hotel is located. I asked Mr Kim upon checkin, for his recommendations on the nearest ramen place and i was surprised with his reply: i am sorry but i don’t know. I am Korean.

Location is great, walking distance to many sites as well as food and shopping Rooms are small, not a lot of amenities but that's to be expected and the price is great for the location.

There was no breakfast included. The listing is inaccurate. They don't even have breafast. Additionally, the front desk staff was nice, but they barely spoke English. It was difficult to comminicate sometimes.

Great Stay and location. The room size was very nice for Japan. They offer decent toiletries and good variety. Staff was as nice as possible. They did not offer Yamato or any option to send our luggage. Also, there wasn't someone at the front desk all the time (even during the day) and there were no amenities to relax a bit on the lobby or somewhere else. Rooms were good size for japan, but I think the TV could be a bit newer to use apps or allow streaming from my phone. Also, I think that the frequency of cleaning was too low, I think every second day would be perfect.
