Staff was very friendly and happy, quickly helping me with anything I asked. Location was great and the room is quite spacious. Nothing. Great place.

Clean Nothing

I loved how cozy it was and how accommodating the host was. It was a charming experience. Nothing.
-
Inside the room is clean, comfortable and spacious The entrance &checkin looks abit worrisome.. but when you get into your room it’s all fine.

I received a different room from what was presented when Booking. The price is the most affordable that I was able to find during cherry blossom season and if anything it was a mistake on my part for not differentiating between a guest house and hotel!

facility is pretty basic at quite a premium price. this is the only place in my 10-day trip to japan that does not have a toilet washlet. location is not convenient, at the other side of the city, and it takes you ~30-40 minutes on crowded bus to get to main attractions. the only close site is nijo castle. staff was the main disappointment. my room's wifi was not working. i followed their guidebook and chose other rooms' but the alternatives were pretty slow and unstable, constantly kicking me out. i asked them to look into it, the guy on afternoon shift said ok but nothing changed. next morning i asked the guy on morning shift and he outright refused, making no effort or offering to make any change.

The unit toilet bath was too small for my XXL size.

Amenities were great and the staff were so nice! The walls are pretty thin and you could hear other people.
-
Location was great to everything I wanted to do!
-
You have to walk like 20 min to the closest metro station or take a bus but that’s completely fine I had a great time here!

The room was more spacious than I had originally thought so it was a nice surprise. Didn’t feel cramped at all and was very quiet throughout the stay. The property owner was also very helpful in getting everything situated upon arrival and very kind whenever we had questions on stuff. The only thing that I didn’t like was that there was a lot of condensation on the windows next to the bed and it made a puddle from the water dripping down from there. Other than that everything was great.

I was a solo traveler. This was my second stay at Uraraka Guest House. I stayed 2 years ago. Was good fof me as a solo traveler . Bus stop near by. Convenience stores . Supermarket and restaurants nearby. Staff helpful. Kyoto one of my favorite cities and hope to return again. Will stay at Uraraka. They have laundry facility and bike rental as well. I did notice that there were couples that stayed there. Staff very nice. No breakfast but microwave and amennities available in common area . several convenience stores and supermarket within walking distance. Not far form Nijo castle.

Very friendly staff . Gave us adjoining rooms. Kept our luggage . Simple but clean rooms. Nothing

All right location Room wasn’t bad Staff was very nice The laundry situation was hard. Since the dryers aren’t the best at hotels. We ended up going to a laundromat since the person before us wasn’t finished drying their clothes. After waiting almost 2 hours for them to finish.

The staff was wonderful, very helpful and available to help. They helped me to receive my luggage from Tokyo and later helped me to send it to my following hotel in Osaka. Special Thanks to Mr. Yuji Hata for all his help.Location is good, un block away for main bus routes to main attractions like bamboo forest, atc. Nothing, all was good
