The location was an easy walk from the Kyoto central station. The neighborhood is quiet and the hotel is fairly small. The checkin process was easy. We had a double room with an bed, so it was pretty cramped.

The room was small but bigger than previous rooms we’ve been in. It was super easy to get to the bus and train stations. Password entrance was easier than keys. The laundry room has those duo wash/dry machines and they suck at drying. We paid for 2 additional drys and had to hang our laundry in the room to finish drying. We also were double checking out packing and at 10:06 we had a knock on a door to get us out. I’ve never stayed at a place that comes to get out and doesn’t give you 5-10 min grace to get to the lobby to check out

The area was a bit small, but it’s just somewhere for us to sleep after sight seeing and what not so it wasn’t too bad, we only had two backpacks with us at the time.

The room itself was decent, but the check-in process was a headache. It took an unreasonably long time just to understand each other. I asked if it was possible to move to a different room or block my room, as it was located on the third floor at the very end of the building and felt isolated, almost like being on the edge of a cliff. Unfortunately, no assistance was offered. To make matters worse, the building windows were left open during winter, causing the corridor temperature to fluctuate drastically. I cannot understand why this was necessary. I will definitely not stay here again.

Good location, well equipped, quiet place

The place was clean and facilities were great. The staff was very courteous and friendly. It was about a 15 minute walk to Kyoto station but there is a bus stop 5 minute walk closer by. Not their fault but just a notice for other tourists, there is now a tourist accommodation tax for most hotels in Kyoto so just an FYI. This did not negatively impact us though as we expected it already but just letting others know!

The location is okay if you’re not opposed to lots of walking, there isn’t much near by and the main station is kind of a far walk, especially when you’re carrying all your luggage. The room was very clean and the bathroom was nice, the bed on the other hand was extremely uncomfortable.
