Breakfast was minimal but hotel was up front about that. Coffee and a croissant only. Enough to get you started. Location was fantastic. Staff was fantastic, friendly and helpful. Free laundry facility was valuable added bonus. Beds were comfortable but Japanese style. Hard to get in and out of for older person. Only one chair in room so had to sit on bed which was hard to get in and out of. Room was small (but expected).

The room was very spacious, we had the king size bed. There was a living are as well as an entrance to walk in and take you shoes off which also doubled as the closet. The bathroom is clean and came with a bath tub and a very nice bidet. The location was phenomenal it’s close to subway stations that can take you to hot spots and a short walk away from the Gion District. Me and my husband loved staying here and honestly it made us wish we stayed here longer then the other locations we went to throughout our trip! The staff was amazing and friendly, they helped us anytime we had questions. They held our bags the last day so we could do some shopping and then called us a taxi back to Kyoto station and told us the best trains to use to get to Osaka! We loved it here and will definitely be back! Not a big deal, but the laundry is only one unit so we had to wait a day or 2 to do our laundry for the next segment of our trip. It was an included amenity though so not too much of a complaint. So something to account for if you plan to pack light and do laundry.

Amazing location and amazing place. We have been in Miro Kyoto Gion for our honey moon during three nights and the experience was wonderful! The staff super nice and helpful with everything. For sure if we come back we will choose this place.

• it's close to the touristic old streets • they have a heated bathroom and great amenities • Hotel staff was nice • building is modern and beautiful • it's not a shady area, but I think some red-light establishments are in the same neighborhood. But it wasn't problematic at all and not in your face as I saw it in other parts of Japan • Sadly our room had Tatamis

Wow what an amazing little gem in the heart of Gion. Very new hotel with Japanese inspired rooms and state-of-the-art toilets included. This place really exceeded our expectations. Staff was incredibly helpful.

I booked this location because of the amazing photos of the hotel and the fantastic reviews about the service. Both exceeded my expectations! The design is impeccable, the room was extremely comfortable and quite spacious for Japan, with many thoughtful details (like an iPad for extra info, converter, clothing spray, and more) and very clean. However the service really went above and beyond. Each staff member knew my name and helped me with everything from sending my luggage prior to my arrival, to booking a restaurant for me, and calling taxis for me when I needed one. Being located in the historic Gion neighborhood surrounded by beautiful walking streets and delicious restaurants was a big bonus. Will definitely stay here again. A full breakfast was not included, but the hotel is upfront about this. However the coffee, orange juice, and croissants was a nice touch. The hotel is also located right next to a 7/11 so I would just pick up an onigiri and be good to go!

Absolutely brilliant little hotel in Kyoto! It’s really well located, right in the historic Gion area and close to many sights. The hotel itself is very nice and is way more high-end than many other hotels we stayed in in Japan (within the same price range). It’s modern and the room is large and comfortable and has everything you need. It has few nice little luxurious touches, for example fancy toiletries or beautifully designed objects The only thing we didn’t like was that the window in our room was 1 meter away from the wall of the building opposite, so there very little natural light. But otherwise the hotel was so great that we felt that all the positives outweighed this one negative

Everything was amazing, a friendly welcome, great English, unique traditional Japanese rooms the coffee machine complementary breakfast piece from a local bakery! Close to the main street of kyoto plenty places to eat, the shower and toiletrie were great aswell! The shampoo smelled amazing! Loved our stay here 10/10, - L&D from Scotland
