Extremely convenient location in the heart of Gion District, perfect for those attending Gion Matsuri! Staff was friendly and very helpful. Beds a bit uncomfortable, showers are mediocre

It was affordable for a solo traveler and I didn’t have to worry about my luggage while I was out. Staying multiple nights get very uncomfortable not being able to really move.

The storage space is pretty small. It’s big enough for a small backpack and a jacket, but not large luggage or a carry-on suitcase. If you have bigger bags, you’ll need to leave them downstairs and just bring what you need for the night or the next day into your pod. It’s not really a big deal, more of a heads-up if you’re traveling with larger luggage. The area where you get ready is also a bit small, so if there are 3–4 people there at the same time, it can feel a little crowded and like you’re in each other’s way.

    The comfortable bed

  • Engine customer Jan 2026

It was really close to everything and a roof top hang out area. There are cameras in places we don’t think there should be like the wash room sink area (with no signs stating they are there). Male workers walked through the woman’s only dormitory with out notifying. We reserved for 3 nights stayed one and left. Between the cameras, the man coming into the woman’s dorm unannounced and the amount of people that did not care to be quiet in the sleeping area it was such a bad experience.

I enjoyed the showers and the lockers to put my stuff away. N/A

  • Engine customer Jan 2026

The cleanliness, near to main spots in Kyoto, super friendly staff All was good

  • Engine customer Jan 2026

Noise was an issue during my stay. One guest was very loud during sleeping hours, opening and closing the doors, as well as making excessive noise with suitcases and bags at 2:00 a.m.

It was very clean and the staff were very attentive.

    Liked all

What i didn't like has nothing to do we the hotel. It was a few of the other travelers didn't follow some of the rules. I think everyone should be mindful of their behavior.I won't go into details about everything but I would like to mention 1 that I believe is common sense, during our stay there were a few people that would take their luggage and opened in the sleeping area which made a lot of noise specially when they dropped something on the floor. I think it would be nice to everyone if the opened their luggage in the locker aerea.

The woman’s floor had hair all over the floor in the sink and bathroom areas. And the luggage area is within the same area as the sleeping pods, which made for a very noisy morning when everyone was trying to get dressed and ready for the day before I had to.
