BON Kyoto Kiyomizu

Very spacious, slept a family of 4 very comfortably, especially with separate toilet and a door between the shower/tub and the sink. Laundry was convenient, but only 1 washer/dryer available, and the dryer is a bit weak. Microwave on every other floor near the elevators. Super clean, very comfortable. No complaints!

The hotel is well located. There is a bus stop very close and 2 metro stations at a relative distance, all walkable with or no suitcases, which is very convenient in Kyoto. The room is quite spacious for Japan, the beds are comfortable and there’s a microwave at the floor and a water heater in the room, so you can save some money with food if you want, but there are also cafés nearby if you want to eat outside. It is close to Nishiki market and Gion, and from there you can move to other parts of the city by bus, which is also convenient. You can even move to Osaka from a nearby train/metro station. The staff also helped us by keeping our luggage for a couple hours for a last minute shopping we had to do before leaving the city. Overall, we had an excellent experience at this hotel. I love visiting Kyoto and I I’d love to stay here again without a doubt.

Very easy to checkin, staff are courteous and helpful. Best for family or group travelers worth the money, near to attractions dining areas and shrines. Also very quiet neighborhood.

Friendly staff and service. Cute room with unique shower room. The rooms were a little tight and I wish there was some counter space in the bathroom but I think this is typical of Japan.

Excellent location. Close to bus stops and a few min walk from Shinkyogoku shopping street. 20 min on foot from Gion. Lots of good restaurants near by. Staff were super nice and helpful. The windows in our room didn’t open. The room didn’t smell or anything, but it would have been nice be able to get some fresh air other then from A/C unit.

The owner was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We truly appreciated the flexibility of being able to store our luggage both before check-in and after check-out — it made our trip much more convenient. Excellent service and hospitality. Highly recommended!

The front desk very helpful. They speak Japanese, but will try to understand what we’re saying, will look for someone who understand & speak English. Clean, close to train station & main attraction.

We booked the large room with two queens and sofa. It’s very spacious for our family of 4 people. The room was super clean None

The room was spacious enough. The bathroom was nice with the shower separate from it. We liked the keyless entry option. The bathroom can use more hooks for hanging towels. Also, the buttons for the toilet were hidden by the curtains which we didn’t see until the second day. Some signage would’ve been helpful. There was no ice or water provided.

Great location. About 11mins walk from Nishiki Market and the surrounding shopping area. There is also a bus stop and a 7-11 down the street for convenience. Nakau was very close buy and become my groups favorite cheap breakfast spot. Staff were very kind and helpful. They were able to accommodate us and put us on the same floor. Price was very good and affordable. Main issue we had were that the beds were a bit hard (may be okay for a short stay, but was rough for our long stay). The AC in our room was drippy. The four-person room was a little cramped and didn't have space to hold big checked luggage (We just put all the big luggage in the five-person room).

It’s a very small room for 3 adults but not that much smaller than other Japanese hotel rooms.

Very clean and close to the station! The staff was very polite and welcoming.

Location was excellent and the hotel staff was so courteous. No microwave and the mini fridge did not get cold enough to get the drinks to the desired temp.

Great place for our family. Amazing location. I slept on the couch, which was comfortable, and the rest of the family slept in the beds. Has a kettle and a mini fridge plus cups. Very clean and well run. Enough space for us for 8 days. One minor issue issue: windows don’t open. But fresh air was vented into the room. Cannot open windows. But there was still fresh air.

The room we’ve stayed in was spacious enough for 5people. Every thing is ok. Just prepare some information/instruction in your guest language.
