Hyatt Place Kyoto

Great location, right beside a subway station. Rooms were very clean and modern, large enough to hold up to 3 people. Staff was very helpful and knew English. Amenities were mostly self-service, even water. I believe some amenities can come with the room but overall was a great stay.

No parking available for guest. Check-in was a long process, it took longer than normal. The cafe next door was much better and cost less than the hotels breakfast option.

Clean and modern rooms, convenient location, easy access to transportation, restaurants, attractions and felt very safe. Complimentary coffee was available at the lobby and you have to bring your cups from the room, but no coffee pot in the room.

Staff was amazing, location was wonderful, the beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. The room was quite small and cramped. Even the door access was difficult to get in and out.

Location Very basic room. Not much value for money

Very exquisite property with all the amenities that travelers need. They will hold your luggage before and after check out. There was only three laundry machines that seems to be in use quite frequently, but there was two laundromats 4 blocks away that was faster and cheaper than the smaller ones at the hotel.

Hotel and the rooms were clean and nice. Location on a metro stop was helpful. Breakfast was nice. While the location is on a metro stop, it’s not very central. Many points are connected by bus which makes it a longer commute. Also no vegan/ vegetarian restaurants nearby or in the hotel.

Mugs in the room would be nice.

Kyoto is much larger than I anticipated so we ended up using taxi’s to get to many areas but the cost is very reasonable. Lobby desk was undermanned at times but the employees who were working made up for that through their attentiveness

Location was just outside the main hub. Could walk into the centre of town or take a short subway trip. A bar in the hotel would have been nice.

Hyatt Place Kyoto exceeded all my expectations. The bathroom was spacious with a beautiful bathtub, making it extremely comfortable and relaxing. The location is very strategic — just 1 minute walk from the hotel to the elevator across the road, which makes getting around so convenient. This was hands down the best hotel stay of my entire journey. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto. The only minor downside is that the nearest convenience store (Family Mart) is about a 7-minute walk away, but that’s a small trade-off considering how excellent everything else was.
