The room itself was phenomenal, and we lacked for nothing. The kitchen was extremely useful, the shower/bath unit was amazing, and the climate control kept the room beautifully cool throughout our stay. After long days walking in the heat, it was such a relief to come back to a room that already felt comfortable. We also had room keys that allowed us to enter the hotel after hours, so there was no need to rush back for a curfew. One thing we did not notice until later was that the cleaning schedule for our room was written on the paper insert our room keys came in. We had originally read that cleaning was not carried out during your stay for eco-friendly reasons, which we were completely fine with, so it was a surprise to come back one day and find everything tidied and the beds made! Only afterwards did we realise the schedule had been there all along, and we felt guilty that we had not tidied up beforehand to make things easier for the cleaners ^-^() The one thing I would strongly recommend, especially if you have unwieldy luggage, is booking an Uber from Kyoto Station to the accommodation. We chose to walk with our luggage so we would not inconvenience the locals on the subway or buses, but it was a hot day and I would not recommend doing the same under those circumstances! After we checked out, we booked an Uber back to Kyoto Station; our ride arrived within 30 seconds, and the trip cost less than ¥1,000! Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay for an extended visit to Kyoto, and we would happily stay here again :) The sound-proofing seemed very good as we never heard other guests talking or moving around in the usual way. The only odd thing was that we were repeatedly woken in the mornings by what sounded like someone’s phone alarm vibrating in a nearby room, which was quite bizarre! We could also occasionally hear rapid thumping footsteps, which seemed as though they were coming from above us, although it was hard to tell haha. We never did figure out where they were coming from.

The room is big and cozy! But the price is a bit pricey for hotel in that location as it wasn't exactly near the train station. However, the staff were friendly and places was clean etc. the only downside is the location being far from the train station. But the stay was awesome! Very nice and reasonably priced hotel in a great spot. Not far from the action at all. Rooms were comfortable and the staff was helpful. Would stay again.

Location was okay. wlked from Gojo stn. suggest you use the lifts in the station to exit 6 then you avoid all stairs and walk a quiet street to the accomodation. The reception desk was manned at reasonable hours, they even called a taxi for us when we were leaving. We had 2 medium cases and had to store one in the cupboard. There isn't a lot of floor space or seating apart from the bed or floor.

I liked the bathroom, and the shower/tub area. I appreciated the dining area out front. I also liked having a fridge. Although we didn’t use it the microwave was nice too. I liked that the hotel was on a quiet street and the umbrellas available. It is also fairly close to a Skyhop bus stop. The beds weren’t that comfortable and there were no directions on how to use the AC remote. I also wished there was somewhere we could put our clothes. The staff weren’t unfriendly, but also not friendly either, just neutral. Which is fine I guess. Maybe that’s just how it is? I am used to hotel staff greeting you when you walk in.

It felt a little dirty, we retrieved a ring that fell under the bed and there was a plastic fork, dust and signs of not being dusted often.

Nothing.

Location was great, close to a nearby bus stop and train station. Very close to a grocery store and local convenience stores. Room felt clean and facilities were easy to use. Front Staff was always very helpful. We did not speak any japanese but communicating in English was easy. The only downside was we were on the first floor and there were a lot of mosquitos due to the main door in the hotel being opened and closed often. The mosquitos would make their way down the hall and into our rooms when we opened the doors.

Great location! About a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Central Station and the subway, restaurants and supermarkets/convenience stores nearby. The room was cozy and clean, and we enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend it and come back again.

Overall it was a great stay, good location, comfortable beds, communicated well with us. Laundry facilities were useful. Quiet rooms. We would recommend it to others. Nothing wrong.

Very clean and new

Great location to mount expeditions into Kyoto,Ōsaka or Nara. Clean, comfortable and staffed with courteous, English-speaking employees who were both helpful and kind.

Easy check in and room was so clean and comfortable! We had a great two night stay! Would definitely stay here again next time! Everything was great!
