Over the years our family of 4 has stayed at almost all of the cottages at Redwood Hollow. Each one is a unique gem. We look forward to coming back again.

Great location, so close to gorgeous beaches.

Adorable classic cottages set in a beautiful garden. Great location close to water, restaurants and shops. Off street parking a big plus. Preassigned parking would be better than not knowing whether parking spot available even if there was a charge for it. Parking in the neighborhood on the street is difficult. Our cottage was super petite but cozy.

The property is cute, quaint and nice location. The one bedroom cottage we stayed in had very light, sheer window coverings, which are nice during the day. However at night, there is a light outside the bedroom window next to the bed and one outside the entrance door (which has a glass panel) so it felt like daylight in the middle of the night. We had to hang towels and blankets over the windows every night to make it dark enough to go to sleep. The room was below what I think may be where the employees gather in the mornings. At 7:30am every morning there was stomping and what sounded like chairs scraping across the floor above us. Employees talking outside the bedroom window where they were sitting cleaning the vacuums and then tearing down boxes the next day. Literally right outside the window. It is also connected to the laundry room, so we could hear the employees doing laundry early in the morning too. The other cottages may be amazing, but the one attached to the office building was a bit disappointing. We did not feel rested and refreshed from our stay.

I will recommend this place to anyone visiting the San Diego/La Jolla area! It was very central to downtown San Diego and walkable to the beach. The staff were so kind and accommodating! 10/10 experience!

Charming & close to beach

We had a fabulous vacation here with our toddler. Quick few blocks walk to the beach, close walk to lots of great restaurants and a nice grocery store, and it was a serene and nice place to unwind.

The uniqueness of the property is beautiful and an excellent location for walking in La Jolla. It was very peaceful to be at our cabin. Never got a response about early check in.

Convenient location, comfortable Loud construction next door

Location in walking distance of the two centers of La Jolla: The upmarket one and the availabilities on Pearl St. Calm and relaxing after a stressful day - the setting really set this accommodation apart as off the beaten track while still in the center of La Jolla. It was in a way an oasis or a time pocket. They cannot guarantee an onsite parking lot, even if it was part of the booking. We got lucky and always had one of the four spaces, but resorting to street side parking would have been a nightmare, because they are almost all taken.

Such a cute place! It has a very homey feel and was clean and spacious! I didn’t cook, but there was a full kitchen and cute patio area. The description wasn’t clear that there are 2 bathrooms and 2 bathTUBS, but only 1 shower. Also, the 3rd room doesn’t have AC. The master mattress needs to be replaced. Parking availability is scarce.

We enjoyed our time here. This place is older and is more like an Air BnB than a hotel. But overall it met our needs well and was a fun, unique place to stay. We had a kitchen and a dining room table, and even a private outdoor table, which we would not have had in a normal hotel. This place delivers on charm and individuality. It's also very well located, within an easy walk or drive to both the beach and La Jolla village. Parking was easy either in their small parking lot or in the abundant street parking. The workers there were nice, but the office isn't open all the time, which would be my one real complaint. Overall, my group really enjoyed our time here and we would strongly consider staying here again next time we're in the area.

The cottages are terminally quaint. There are four parking spaces total, and street parking was full all the time. I don't recommend trying to park a car here.
