Above and beyond customer service with an amazing atmosphere. Really made me and my girlfriend’s anniversary special.

Breakfast was outstanding, and every detail of our stay exceeded our expectations. We felt so welcomed and well taken care of from beginning to end. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this beautiful hotel! ❤️🌊

I did not appreciate the carpet in the room, definitely the paint in the hallway is very smelly and maybe it has a spa though as well. There was a extremely disturbing odor in the hallways. Everything else is a little outdated and needs work. The room was extremely small, the only good thing was the deck and the balcony that I could step out and sit The staff were extremely friendly, I also didn’t appreciate the valet, which was parked right outside, so my car is really dirty I thought they valet the car in an indoor garage The food and the coffee was amazing I love the location, and I love the food at the restaurant Everything else they can improve They can improve to get Carpet floors in the rooms and the hallways are stinky The smell of the hallway was making me nauseous. It was really seriously terrible.

Staff was ok, I’ve been to hotels with better customer service. Room smelled like wet towels. Pool was small. The only position that stood out was the location: central and perfect to walk around. Would not stay again.

East access to the restaurants. The valet parking included in the stay is excellent. I was not able to upgrade to a ocean side room a even though ahead of time I requested on booking.com and very much willing to pay for it. I know there was an available room because the concierge who helped us said that there was a room and she needed to double check with her manager. And she told me that the manager said “it is not worth it to upgrade for 1 night” I think because the upgrade was available on the 2nd day of our stay..but I was willing to pay for it for the experience

This hotel was grand indeed! Best location in La Jolla. Beautiful grounds and pool area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I dislike parking valet because I don’t like having to wait, but they were so quick and efficient. The upholstery and rugs could use a deep clean but I would stay here with pleasure over and over again.

We had a great time & enjoyed our stay. The breakfast at nine-ten restaurant was delicious & great service. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the Colonial. From valet at check in to valet at check out everyone was very helpful. E-bikes for an hour included. Coffee in the mornings provided. Rooms were comfortable and beds were great. Minibar snacks and soft drinks included and refreshed when requested. Housekeeping and grounds keepers friendly. Restaurant was delish for dinner and half price wine bottles on Wednesdays curated by sommelier Chris was a real pleasure. Pool was great. (A hot tub would make it better). Great central location. Would stay here again.

Staff customer service was excellent.. Perfect location. No charge for parking. Large rooms No complaints

Items of complain: (1) My shower didn't work well, (2) toilet bad positikned in the bathroom, very close to the wall, (3) trucks making hotel service making loud noise before 7-am
