Too many stairs to our room, no elevator. Old building.

hotel location was excellent and facilities were good. Room was good with great view over pool The air conditioning in the room was super loud, and it was difficult to sleep with it on. The pool area was small but well laid out and adequate for adults. The problem we had was that the pool was being used as a childrens play area. Parents and poolside staff were not controlling their children so the whole pool was being used by young children running around the sides chasing each other and jumping in without any consideration for other bathers. This i found unacceptable and disappointing as it did spoil our last day at the hotel.

What a charming place to stay. So Much character. Magical!

The hotel was nice in general, but it has an old scent. We lost something in the room and the hotel staff was very slow in helping us. We had to threaten to leave a bad review for them to offer monetary compensation for the lost item, which they ended up doing.

Great location. Nice big room, well equipped with good amenities General attitude of staff wasn’t great. We asked for somewhere to shower before taking a long flight back to London and were told to change in the bathrooms by the pool.

I have traveled to La Jolla for years and have walked the lobby. Always wanted to stay here. Totally met expectations.

We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel is charming, beautifully maintained, and the rooms are updated while still keeping the property’s character. The location couldn’t have been better—we were able to easily walk to La Jolla Cove, great restaurants, and all the shops. Every staff member was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making our stay so enjoyable. This is the perfect place for families, couples, or solo travelers. This was one of our favorite hotels, and we would absolutely stay here again. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting La Jolla!

A lovely hotel with an outstanding staff.

Beautiful setting, everything clean and so comfy. Staff were lovely. Nothing it was perfect

The location is the main reason for choosing the hotel. It’s close proximity to all the restaurants and shops. The cove is across the street. The hotel definitely shows its age. My room was extremely humid and had a damp mildew smell. You have to wear slippers in the room bc the carpet is damp.
