Castleton is beautiful. The Bulls Head is a great pub, with comfortable rooms and terrific food. If I had to pick an issue (and this is a stretch) is that the shower is very small. But good water pressure and very clean.

Our room faced the street, and during the night, cars like to drive fast and make noise. Not too bad, but not fun either.

There was nothing we didn't like

The room was incredibly tiny. It was hard to fit two people and suitcases in there!

Another great stay at the Bulls Head in Castleton. Great English breakfast and the staff was wonderful, especially Diane. We will be staying again.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast

Everything! Nothing

We visited for a night in Peak Cavern to see Ferocious Dog. It's the third time I've seen them at this venue but my first time staying at the Bulls Head. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room. Beautiful bathroom. Very convenient location. Cracking breakfast. Any complaint I could make would be very petty but a drop of milk to go with the excellent selection of hot drinks would have been nice. Very petty of me as I don't use it and my friend had a huge quantity of soya milk with her!

Ample parking. Extremely helpful and accommodating staff - first class guest service. Great food, amazing breakfast. Comfortable and clean room

The staff were very kind and friendly, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The room was beautifully decorated in a charming country style. It was clean, well-equipped with plenty of amenities, and the bed was very comfortable. The meals at the pub, as well as breakfast, were warm and delicious. I highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful rooms and breakfast. Lovely bar area. Ideally located for us

I wanted to take a moment to share our exceptional experience at the Bulls Head. The service was outstanding, especially thanks to Diane. She went above and beyond at breakfast time, ensuring all our needs were met with a smile. Her pleasant demeanor and attentiveness truly set her apart in the world of hospitality. Incidentally the room (3) which was very clean, had a great view and very pleasant decor with plenty of toiletries. There was even a note suggesting a razor was available if I had forgotten it. Never seen that before and very good idea. One of six guests who benefitted from your hospitality at breakfast. The shower may be a little small for a larger than average guest.

A tastefully updated hotel with a nice ambience. Good location and plenty of parking. The room was nicely appointed and the bathroom was modern and clean. We were a bit surprised to learn that breakfast wasn't served until 8:30 when we turned up at 8:00 and the lounge was in darkness. Maybe a note in the room documentation would be a good idea?

Great food, great staff, great facilities As above

Perfect location, with friendly and welcoming staff and beautifully decorated accommodation. Our evening meal was exceptional and good value for money, the breakfast was tasty and generous. Would not hesitate to recommend the Bulls Head and would most certainly like to stay again in the future. Honestly can't think of anything that we did not like!

Nice old pub with well furnished rooms and wonderfully friendly staff. Breakfast was relaxed and generous. Checking in during busy times is a slight pain as you wait in line at the bar where everyone else is ordering drinks and food.

Superb

Great location and beautiful refurb, rooms were quaint and loved the views! Perfect destination for a long hike and drink afterwards.

Great location in the centre of the village. Parking is available behind the pub with designated spaces for residents. Rooms are cosy, nicely decorated and well equipped. We had room 2 which has splendid views over the surroundings hills. Everything is spotlessly clean and has probably the best selection of hot drinks in the room that we have seen anywhere. Modern bathroom but our only slight criticism is that the shower enclosure is quite small. Breakfast is okay comprising cereal and a cooked breakfast but no yoghurt or fruit. Dinner wasn't the best, they had run out of some meal options and our chicken dish was overcooked.
