Comfort Inn Lansing West

The room was clean and somewhat updated. The halls were not. Breakfast was okay.

I do not recommend this hotel. There was an overwhelming smell of pot in every area of the hotel, including our room. The pillows were incredibly small and lumpy which made sleeping hard. Someone knocked on our door repeatedly.

I appreciate that breakfast is included. Be aware that the light in the bathroom isn't very bright. My bathroom didn't have a towel hook on the back of the door. So, I had to hang my towel on the door handle. There is plenty of parking and it is right down the street from Horrocks!

Clean room. Pleasant and helpful staff. Elevator was very slow and noisy. It sounded like it could break at any time.

Lobby was ok and staff was nice. Hotel had an odor…carpets dirty. Elevator loud and jerky. Room was extremely dated…air freshener in room that was so strong and did not cover the odor. Carpet was not vacuumed, tv stand was damaged, tub did not drain, couch was old/dirty and appeared damaged. Stains on wallpaper. Bathroom appeared clean, but again tub would not drain. Hair dryer from the 90’s. Will not stay again. Better options for the price in the area.

Without a doubt I will never stay again at the comfort inn in Lansing Michigan. I arrived there Friday, July 17 from that time until I checked out on Sunday, July 20 my room was never cleaned, bed not made, no clean towels brought in. I went to the registration desk on Saturday to let them know that the quilt between the sheets on the bed was literally damp as was the floor. The woman at the registration desk said she would have someone take a look at it....it never happened! Can't believe that I actually paid my hard earned social security money for this horrendous lack of service.

Rooms are ok old and dated beds ok pillow's horrible for king bed. In morning when open curtains cockroches present in room. Linens on bed stained with pink smelt like bleach but replaced would be more comfortable for guest to use. Pool party and other activities by people staying didn't make using amenities comfortable.

We have used this hotel numerous times over the last 15 years. We’ve had a graduation party there, a friends wedding reception. When we had no power, we stayed here. And my daughter has had a midsummer slumber party with her girlfriends here every year for the last 6 years. We have always enjoyed our stay and the staff is super friendly (for the most part). The carpets desperately need to be replaced. There weren’t pool towels both times we went down and it took three trips asking for towels to get them. They did not clean the pool area as there was a towel from the day before and was in the same spot it was the night previous. The elevators handrails fell off the wall three times. The wallpaper is peeling in so many spots. The lampshade was filthy.

Hair on the bed. Something on the floor outside of the room. Carpet in room sticky. Ice machine leaking. Elevator rattled and squeezed. I would have taken the stairs if it weren’t for my back problems. And worse of all the room smelled like burning bleach. Which I’m told is what it smells like when someone is doing drugs. Oh and one last thing some idiots was having a loud conversation at 2 in the morning out the parking lot.

We stayed for 3 nights and never had housekeeping pick up or drop off new towels.

Everyone was helpful, pleasant, professional and honest.

Not clean rooms was nasty

We stayed here based on their 8.0 rating, and I have no idea how it is rated that high. The rooms smelled musty and damp, there were cobwebs on the walls, the bathroom door wouldn’t shut, and the front desk staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. Checkout time wasn’t until noon, and the key cards stopped working for our rooms prior to 7am. We will never stay here again. They do have a big pool and a big hot tub, but it still isn’t enough to get us to come back.

Elevator sounded like it was on the verge of breaking down. Another hotel guest told us that it had been broken down a few days prior. The hallway outside our room smelled bad. We found a large press on nail on the floor of our room that we originally thought was a cockroach. When we got to breakfast, the waffle batter was empty, which sucked. The bed was clean, but very uncomfortable. Neither of us slept well. We've seen worse, but we've definitely seen better for what we paid.

The building itself smells like cigarette smoke all through out every corner, not to mention our room restroom had poop stain on the seat and around the toilet bowl. It was so nasty:(

Continental breakfast, pool. The staff. Communication barriers were terrible if you need anything. I had to reactivate my card key to get back into my room at least 3x a day

Had to move to another room. The refrigerator was not working. Slow service at front desk. Rang bell over and over for service.
