Hampton Inn & Suites Lansing West

It was close to where I needed to be Paint in the bathroom was peeling. There were several long hairs on the tub and walls of the shower along with a cobweb in the corner of the bathroom. The shower did not look properly cleaned. For example there was a random reddish stain in the corner of the tub that looked like dried shower gel. There were also many white stains on the bathroom walls like maybe bleach or some cleaner (at least that’s what I hoped it was). I didn’t properly inspect when I dropped off my bags and it was too late by the time I realized it. Carpet looked like it needed a good cleaning and I was scared to walk barefoot on the floors. The bed was not comfortable at all.

The facilities were very clean, and the staff was very friendly and professional I thought the refrigerator was located in a weird spot, but the quality of the appliance was wonderful

The AC in the room didn't work great but ok. A little worn in bathroom but overall fine. Nice location next to giant garden center/grocery/pizza/beer place.

Also the guy working the breakfast thought I didn't answer his greeting, then smarted off to me about it, and then proceeded to gossip in front of me on his radio when I was standing right there. Beyond his rudeness, he didn't keep anything full on the breakfast. Overall an ok experience but Hampton must be going downhill.

As soon as we got there, we were informed the pool was broken (part reason we booked this stay). After a day, we needed more towels and we called the front desk and nobody answered, then we sent a text and they called saying they were short staffed and it was only them so we would have to get the towels ourselves. We went down to the front desk and asked for towels and the lady replied with a rude tone “which ones!?” And we said all of them and then we asked got another role of toilet paper and she sighed heavily and went and got it. I understand she was probably frustrated because she was the only staff member working, but she shouldn’t take it out on the guests.

The common areas could have used some more attention. The pool area was so hot that it made it uncomfortable to enter and exit.

I had a really good experience. The only reason I did not provide a five star review was because of the pool. We specifically booked the hotel because we wanted a pool and hot tub. The hot tub was great. When we arrived at the pool, there was a sign saying that it was closed. Later after I had already gone back to my room and changed and all of that I was told that the pool was fine. I have to be honest it didn’t look fine. It was not clear water at all. With that said I would stay at this location again. Everything else was really great.

The room could have been cleaner. The bathroom area wasn’t the cleanest and the bed wasn’t comfortable. I didn’t get a good nights rest from sleeping in it. I would t patronize this property again wasn’t clean enough for me. However, the staff was friendly!

My room had a sofa bed and apparently they don’t change the linen on those or make sure the mattress is clean. It had stains and either dead bugs or dirt on it. I took pictures and showed the front desk. The response was “we’ll see what we can do TOMORROW.” No discount, refund or “guarantee.” I had to go back AGAIN to the front desk in the morning because no one came to address the problem because my complaint wasn’t passed on. Luckily my other family members weren’t coming until the next day. I highly suggest you do a bed check and lift the sheets.

Close to where we needed to be For 2 consecutive nights we had some drunk black guy pound on our door after 1am. Tried to call the desk but no response. There’s nobody at the front desk after 11pm. Very few luggage carts. Water pressure was horrible!

The hot tub was amazing the staff was great

Staff was friendly, great location No orange juice , well no juices at all for breakfast, 1 kleenex in the box in the room , room really run down , torn furniture, paid for late checkout and they kept calling between 11 and 1 to see if I was gonna checkout

It was clean to our expectation. A little disappointed there was no bathing soap. Breakfast was to our liking. Not much to complaint about. All we wanted was organized room and immaculate bed
