Waited about a half hour and asked if a regular room was available. Clerk said he had to check with “the boss”. Waited about another half hour and still no room. Asked if we could go grab dinner and then check in. Clerk said there might not be a room available. Waited about another 20 minutes before a room was available. What is the sense of making prior reservations. When we made those we were quoted $169 plus tax. At check out it cost $207 plus. Don’t think we will return there anytime soon.

Room was spacious and very nicely appointed. Clean bathroom, Nice view of the mountains. Breakfast was good in restaurant and nice waitress. I received handicapped parking near entrance. Complimentary newspaper. Checkin desk clerk was very rude to me. Tried to make me pay for breakfast that was included in my reservation. She finally took a look after I implored her several times to take a look. She never apologized. Later I went to front desk to ask for assistance with my luggage as I am handicapped. She was chit-chatting with another guest and not really assisting her with anything while I stood there ignored. This went on I know for over 10 minutes as I checked my time on my phone as I had a meeting I had to get to. The guest finally left and she curtly asked what did I want. She did get someone, he was very nice and courteous. Later that evening I went to the hotel restaurant which wasn't busy. I stood waiting for a table. Again ignored. So I went and sat at the bar which had only one customer. Again I was ignored ...no acknowledgement, not offered a menu. There was one couple at a table and left after finishing their meal, Waitress went and started cleaning table still ignoring me. After about 15 minutes I left, hungry and thirsty. Would have liked a margarita. I went back to my room and ordered Door Dash which arrived within 20 minutes.

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Had thunderstorms the two nights we were there so the Direct TV went out and was unwatchable. Elevators were very slow to open and move. Didn’t get a chance to use the pool due to the storms. Fitness center was nice and even had a bathroom inside which you normally do not see. Dumbells went up to 75 pounds, there is a double cable machine, a Peloton bike, two treadmills, an incumbent bike and to elliptical machines. There are two adjustable weight benches too. Overall it was a good stay.

Bathtub was very slippery during shower and I fell very hard. I hit my neck on the toilet seat and my hip on the bathtub rim.

Stayed at other properties in the Las Cruces area, and this has been, by far, the best one. Beats out the Courtyard Marriott in terms of comfort, service, and coziness. Large, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Really nice poor area. Will stay again.

The restaurant doesn't serve dinner until 5pm. We had a long day and would have enjoyed something to eat rather than snacks.
