Good and functioning hostel with reception open 24 hours. I appreciate the attentive and professonal staff including the cheerful, polite and understanding cleaning lady. I had such a great time here and it made my stay in Lisbon perfect. Thank you all. Nada.

Location is a bonus, very close to a metro station. Bathrooms were kept clean and had uninterrupted hot water. Comfortable beds and individual power outlets nearby. Pleasant and spacious common area. Well-equipped kitchen. Fantastic staff.

Kitchen is good, but it doesn't open until 7 a.m. They want a 10 euro deposit for the key card. Fine, but you have to have exactly 10 euros--I had a 5 and a 20, and that didn't work, as they wouldn't accept only 5 and wouldn't give change. Also, they give you a duvet cover and an old blanket. I didn't see anyone put the blanket in the cover, if that's what they expect you to do. Who knows if the blankets are washed after each guest.

This hostel is kept exceptionally clean in all the areas. I interacted with around 10 different people from the staff. They were all amazingly friendly, kind and always ready to help with a smile. They had to open the door of the dorm for me each time I needed to go in since I chose to not get a card. They never let me wait not even for a second. The kitchen is very very well equipped with stoves and microwaves. It is spacious and with a whole side window overlooking the internal yard which makes it enjoyable to cook and to eat. The fridge is very big. Everything in the kitchen is kept spotless clean. I slept in 100's of dorms in the last 10 years. Truly impressed by the cleanliness of this one! Many bathrooms to choose from. The living area is very big and also very pleasant to sit at. Coffee can be bought from the machine. Luggage kept stored after check-out for free (as it is supposed to be). The 12-bed dorm was very very spacious and it had an internal yard at the back where I could hang my towel. There are big lockers for each person. One can also leave luggage under the bed. Very close to a main square, surrounded by all kinds of shops and restaurants and supermarkets. I enjoyed being away from downtown. It felt so much more peaceful and calm. I would definitely stay at this hostel if I am again in Lisboa!! Squeaky beds. No curtains. No small light for each bed. I always carry a head torch so its not an issue for me. Its more about other guests who need the light on when its late. Deposit for card is usually 5 euros. Here they ask for 10! They let me not pay the deposit and open the door for me each time I needed, immediately. There is no oven. No hand soap in bathrooms.

Perfect to stay in Urban Garden Hostel

I extended my stay in one day because I really liked this Hostel, but the extra night wasn't as awesome as the first 5 ones. Was still good tho! =] Because there was no availability in the room I was previously (and also because I wanted to learn other spaces in the Hostel), I changed rooms in my last night. This second room was less spacious but the real problem was that they made it quite complicated for me to change rooms. I had to 'check-out' and keep my luggage in the common area for hours until the next check-in time. It wasn't very comfortable, I must say. =/

Friendly staff, very welcoming and clean place!

Very well equipped kitchen and management of waste exceeded my expectations, they are serious about it! Dorm Concrete Jungle has 12 beds and it was on its maximum capacity but you barely don't feel it, so spacious it is! Plenty room for luggage in the lockers and under the bed. Probably not the hostel's fault, but one night there was a strong smell of paint or chemicals coming from a neighbor. It was a bit uncomfortable in the room at night, but this was only in one of the 3 nights I spent there.

Unfortunately I got bitten by bedbugs, my sheets were changed and I was offered to switch rooms but I don't think that solved the problem ://

all was so great, can't narrow down to a specific thing I like yogurt, but there was more than enough food to feed us hungry folks! :)
