Access to spa and restaurants. Lovely decor. Fabulous location. The Facilities in the Spa were amazing and the bar was a nice touch. The outside hot tub was a real feature and it wasn’t too busy which was a real plus. They clearly limit the amount of people for your 2 hour slot which is so important. The discount for hotel guests was good, although I still felt it was a little too connive, particularly when we paid for 2 full bot massages for £110 each. It would be better if the discounted £45 to go into the Spa was removed if you paid for a treatment as a hotel guest, particularly at that price. All the staff at the hotel were friendly and attentive and ready to help. The hotel had a lovely relaxed feel but at the same time you felt like you were staying somewhere special. We had a meal in the Carriage Works restaurant which was . amazing. The food was delicious, the decor was gorgeous and I loved the fact there were comfier seats you could sit in when you finished your meal to have more cocktails! The other restaurant for breakfast the next day was also lovely and there was lots of choice of food and once again the waiting staff were very attentive. Our room, although very chic and extremely clean is starting to look a bit tired. The pillows were extremely old, lumpy and uncomfortable and one of the pillows was completely flat. The lift nearest to our room was not working, although there was another working lift we discovered when we asked. It would be good for the sign to be domain that - we only knew when we asked staff in reception if someone could help us carry down our suitcases. The Spa was amazing it was just a shame that empty glasses and cups were strewn around until a particular member of staff came on duty and immediately cleared them all away. The breakfast itself was ok but the sausages looked anaemic and when I was served poached eggs from the hot water so much of the water also transferred to my plate it left my whole meal watery. I have no doubt if I had asked they would have replaced my meal, but we were in a bit of a hurry to get away/

Location - lots of great sights and pubs etc. in the area. Excellent staff. Restaurant and bar very good. Breakfast was great. Facilities in room - air con not working, drains smell in bathroom, couldn't use my laptop as the Wifi blocked some pages, high bath to get into to shower and complicated taps!

Beautiful hotel with character. Bright and light and clean, with large rooms, a large bed comfortable bed and pillows and luxury bedding. The staff were professional and friendly and helpful at all times. The location is perfect and puts you right in the heart of the Georgian quarter. The London Carriage Works restaurant is well worth a visit or two whilst staying there. If nit-picking, to answer this question, the only minor negative was the very low sink and complicated taps, but it was a mild inconvenience and barely worth mentioning. We booked the spa and the staff member who checked us in was not friendly or helpful like the rest of the hotel and restaurant staff. She made us feel like we were a nuisance for using the spa and her having to do her job.
