Staying in this beautiful 500-year-old hotel was a wonderful experience. The historic charm and character are something you simply can't find in a modern hotel. Finding my room was like navigating a labyrinth! Thankfully, the concierge knew exactly what I was in for and kindly walked me to my room. The staff were incredibly friendly, helped with my luggage, and made me feel very welcome. If you're looking for a unique hotel with old-world charm and outstanding service, this is it. I would definitely stay here again. I did ask for a street view however the window was under a large wooden beam you actually couldn't see the street! But, I was not there to stay in my room the whole time I was there to explore the city.

The position The room was created from a raised level/mezzanine area, and you have to pass through the bathroom to get to the bedroom. The room smelled of cigarette smoke like an ashtray. With temperatures of around 36°C outside, it had no air conditioning, only a small, inadequate fan

only the location The room was not fit for guests. The floors were all lifting or cracked from what I suspect is water damage and leakage from the small shower that was impossible to shower in. the bathroom was mouldy and as the shower was so small and the door did not close, I suspect the shower is leaking causing the floors to lift and. The roof did not allow use of half the room without hitting head. I suggest room 212 is completely redone. Also breakfast not open til 8am is very restrictive as a tourist I was on planned activities that then meant I missed breakfast. For a tourist hot spot suggest 7 am breakfast.

Amazing location with lots of charm and great staff!!! Ask for a room that doesn’t face the street, it can get noisy at night. Since it’s an old historic building with no A/C, you may need to sleep with the windows open.

Rooms are big with high ceilings. Breakfast wasn't impressive but I can't complain. Bread was fresh. Location was good of course. Well stuck outside the hotel for the first half hour. No staff on reception. Don't answer the call button. Saw other guests in the same predicament. For EUR290/night it really isn't acceptable. 'Boutique' means you take something old and bring it back to its glory. I think apart from filling the cracks in the plaster and some paint, it was the original building. Bathroom was new but smelt of septic. Bath didn't drain. Noisy pipes. Looks like 5 students pooled together funds and bought an old mansion. There's 'charm' - then there's plain old. I'd planned to treat myself and ended up paying twice as much as I should have. Oh and forget parking. I had to drag my bags as no cars allowed in the area.

City center, close by parking, great staff and breakfast. I got exactly what I wanted and what I paid for. It being formally a home, as a builder, I was totally enamored of the hotel.

I arranged for a late checkout. It was later not honored. I understand mistakes happen, but the burden should be on the business to find a solution other than reneging. This shows either gross incompetence or contempt for paying customers. They did offer me to stay and linger in the lobby with my luggage, or leave it there, but the bad taste was already in my mouth. If not for this experience, Ljubliana would be worth a visit at this price. Unfortunately it's otherwise. Only come if you are rich and can afford proper service.

Location The hotel was very old and not kept well. It needs major upgrades and renovations. The breakfast was not good.

Way too far to get to the rooms
-
Cute property embracing the character of Ljubljana Most tours start at 8 but they don’t serve breakfast until 8. It would be great if this was a half hour earlier allowing us to eat beforehand

Everything was perfect No complaints at all
-
Nothing to not like

Hotel could use room updates. Fresh paint …new floors… etc. It is an older hotel, but you can be old but be in better interior shape.

Location

The location is great. The reception service very good. All the furniture and beds appeared and felt quite old (stains on the Upholstey). Could use some serious updates for this.

The location of this hotel, after my research, was spot-on. The location of the Antiq Palace to the Old Town was just a 10 minute walk away as was the business area in the opposite direction. My Room was on the Ground floor which I appreciated very much. It was large, clean & comfortable. The breakfast was a delightful spread of everything I usually like to enjoy as not every hotel includes Salmon & Cream Cheese; a BIG plus to me. The breakfast staff were very attentive. That I couldn't prolong my stay, given my onward Itinerary.
