Hotel Center Ljubljana

Hotel Center Ljubljana is a great spot if you want to explore Ljubljana. We were there during the peak season so it was pretty busy. The hotel is really clean and the staff are polite and do their best to assist. There isn't much of a view from some of the rooms, but you should spend your time exploring Ljubljana anyways. There is also a really busy restaurant area. They have a unique menu which attracts outside hotel guests. I would recommend it for a couple nights stay. The cash only payment doesn't make sense to me in 2026. I'm not sure how others pay if they have a few rooms or stay longer. This isn't really a "cheap" stay. Perhaps I should have asked about a bank transfer option. Also, the breakfast is a set menu, so it might not be attractive for some guests as a first meal of the day. The wifi was really unstable in our room. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Perfectly located, walking distance to the center. The bathroom - there’s no rug provided so you’re gonna have to walk from the shower to everywhere with a wet feet, unless you have slippers with you, and maybe get the entire room wet in the process too. The window inside the bathroom which serves as an exhaust is directly in front of the exhaust of a restaurant kitchen so it smells bad when you crack it open. Staff was unfriendly when I tried to check-in. Maybe she was just grumpy and it was too early for her to deal with people.

Room was clean. Wonderland restaurant was nice to eat in. Location was great and close to the center and really close to the bus/train station Room was small and you can hear noise from other rooms.

Excellent location in city center, historic old town, very easy walk fm bus station, very comfirtable room, sparking clean and quiet, L'Occitaine toiletries! Lovely, restaurant serving dinner, amazing buffet breakfast with wide variety of food and beverage for every taste. Super find! Nothing to note here!

The only positive is the room was clean. This was incredibly disappointing for how highly it is rated. It is a CASH ONLY HOTEL which was not made clear upon booking. The rooms and bathrooms were SO small, I am not sure if someone with a full size suitcase would even have room to lay it flat. The rooms were hot (seemed that AC did not work), the bar outside our window was noisy at night, and they could not provide an extra pillow as they had run out. I barely slept the two nights that we stayed here.

The location was great We had to pay cash which was very strange, they don’t accept cards The toilet was all transparent securit glass that was quiet inconvenient The AC wasn’t working well and produced a lot of noise and wasn’t cooling All lights were digital that work by pressing on them , one of the lights kept turned on all night long so we couldn’t sleep

Wi fi is awful and room too small

Location was great. Within a couple of blocks of the riverfront cafe scene, and just a couple of blocks to the train & bus stations. Breakfast choices were many, and served in a zany, mock-forest decor. Room was comfortable, like new. The front desk people were friendly, accommodating, anticipated your needs almost before you did. ` Tiny elevator. Arcane switch setup for lighting in the room. (Wish they had more rooms... they were booked up over the May Day weekend, so we had to leave early.)

Wi-Fi is bad, I was connected on the Internet but connections is very bad I can't talk with this wi-fi.

Great location! Walkable to everything b Reception was chaotic. Also this hotel does not have a system that allows for credit card use. You have to do a wire transfer or have cash. Very poor.

Unique, clean and great location. Great breakfast! You have to pay cash. No credit or debit cards.

Good service and everybody speaks well English I definitely didn’t like background behind the hotel a lot of noise at at night, so you have to close the window in order not to listen the noise…

The hotel is at an excellent location, a few minutes walk from the main bus and train stations in Ljubljana. The main tourist attractions such as the Dragon bridge, the Ljubljana castle, the Tivoli park etc. can also be reached easily by walking. The rooms are very clean and the facilities modern. The all you can eat à la carte breakfast is amazing. The "Wonderland" ambience of the dining area adds a nice touch to the experience. The hotel accepts only cash payments at the time of check-in, which seems to be a very outdated way of doing things. Also, the WiFi connectivity in my room was very bad. The speed was so slow that things were buffering most of the time, and watching anything online or scrolling social media was just not possible with such a bad connection.

In the center of things. Quirky restaurant & decor. We came late at night after rejecting another facility, and Center Hotel took us in. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. We stayed 2 days. Would have stayed longer, but they were booked up for the May Day weekend in Ljubljana!

The staff was exceptionally pleasant. The rooms were clean and quiet. The food was also good. I had a really pleasant stay overall.

Need mirror inside the room. And more partition to put things.
