location next to Paddington station so handy when travelling. Cleanliness not there, stained bedcovers, hard to relax in that environment. Old, neglected building, old dirty carpets. Would not recommend. Very unwelcoming personnel.

Location was fantastic and the staff were very helpful. Seemed a bit costly, but it is London and it was a weekend.

The room was very spacious and the hotel is very close to the train station very accessible location. Because it is an old building there is no elevator and it was very difficult to take big luggage up the stairs. Another issue we faced is with the hot water in the room. There was no hot water in the room and when complained we got a reply saying "sorry about that, the building is some 100 years old" without any resolution of the matter. Overall I did not think it was good value for money.

The value for money and the location are excellent. We stayed for one night on the 5th of June 2026. The problem was the receptionist at night, who did not take any action regarding two drunk guests who were talking loudly in front of the hotel windows and a mentally ill person who was broadcasting imaginary reports live from his phone in front of the hotel. So, I had to ask the guests to go to their rooms and to respect the mentally ill person, which happened between 11.30 pm and 2 am. It seems that this is not an isolated incident, but happens often in this part of the city, where it turned out that there are quite a few homeless and drunk people. However, I believe that this is the receptionist's job and they need to act preventively, and not be asked for assistance in ensuring quiet time in the wee hours of the night. In this case, the receptionist was fully aware of what was going on but said that there was nothing he could do, and even if he did, it would be of no use. Well, it turned out that my polite but insistent request to the noisy people worked.

It is a "station" hotel in London, i usually stay on such hotels (even with family) as they are good enough and cheaper and i rated it as such. Staff was very efficient and nice and gave us all required support. The room (quadruple) was actually larger than usual in London and was comfortable for 4 people. Room was cleaned everyday and was always nice. As all "station" hotels, there is some noise when trains pass, but it would not impact our sleep (and this would be the same on all hotels on the same area...if this is an issue you should look for hotels a bit farther from the station). Facilities are good with hot water, good wifi and lots of plugs. Beds were a bit on the soft side (depends on preference) but good size and comfortable. Didn't need heat or AC as temperature was good (june). As said on other reviews you need to use the stairs. Location is great. Less than 5min to the metro and very close to the center (15min metro). I prefer paddington over victoria as it has more "real" stores and pubs (could walk to several in less than 2mins). Connection to airports is good (1 subway+1train). Direct buses to Camden and Portobello were also practical. We could store luggage on departure (no extra cost) and even weight them on a hotel scale to make sure all was ok. Didn't try breakfast although price was good as i prefer to have it in different places each day, and there are LOTS of places to have breakfast (or lunch/dinner/drinks) around the hotel. Would stay again if the keep the same price/quality ratio. You can obviously find better, but you will also pay a lot more. Some things that did NOT hinder our stay, but may be relevant to others: - Some noise when trains pass - Beds are a bit soft - Stairs

Clean room had everything you need for a short break not luxury but ideal for a base hairdryer supplied and some toiletries shampoo would of been a good extra to have . Tea and coffee facilities in room . Staff were friendly and we did have breakfast one day it was ok for the price . Location is a few minutes walk from Paddington station and lots of bars shops etc around hotel . Nothing apart from shampoo would of been a good extra as only provided body wash and soap

Close to Paddington. Very clean. Room small but had everything we needed. No elevator. Fine for us but older folks might have trouble getting g heavy luggage up.

The location is close enough to both Paddington and Lancaster Gate. Unsecure baggage storage available. Extremely noisy location, with street noise well into the early hours of the morning. Uncomfortable bed and a notable slope to the room which leads to the need to keep readjusting. Poor quality flooring coming up in the middle of the room which caused tripping. Paper thin walls between rooms (could hear snoring and other actions next door). Very steep stairs to access room.

Position close to railway and underground stations. The reception staff very kindly helped me with my suitcase as my room was up 3 flights of stairs. The room was very basic but I expected this for the price I paid. It was clean and comfortable enough.

Staff was friendly, warm, helpful, and made the stay wonderful overall. Location was excellent. I wish I got the heads up that I was gonna be on the 4th floor because there’s no elevator. Especially given the heat and given that there was no AC, this made the stay a bit draining. Also could’ve been a bit cleaner … there was mild oversight when it comes to housekeeping too. Like why can I only get 1 towel?! And why weren’t the coffee sachets in my room replenished daily?

A very pleasant stay I'm very close to the tube and supermarkets

The location is great Lower your expectations then lower them again. Stated 4 nights didn’t get a good morning from anyone. Read all the reviews, they are correct. You might get hit water before the end of your shower, or not. Clean, but not. The underground noise and vibration is a thing and after 4 nights you want out!!! No fan or cooling and an open window does nothing. The bed was ok. Daily cleaning was less than average. Priced accordingly. If you want a bed and nothing more you’re on a winner!

there was no shampoo. I never had any hotel without shampoo. The staff seems, he doesn't care anything. The bathroom had bad smell.
