    Small rooms

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Very good location, close to train station and shops. Nice clean room. No breakfast available. Staff friendly. Perfect for my short city break. TV was quiet, and would not turn up. Noise outside in street from people who should be more considerate one night at 4 in the morning.

Location across King's Cross-San Pancras Station. The shower, sink, and bathroom was too small. We couldn't get the bathroom door to stay open without blocking it against the closet door with a chair. We only got 2 bath towels; no other towels. With such a small room and no air conditioning during a heatwave, we only stayed one night.

The place is very close to King's Cross, which is where we needed to be to catch an early train in the morning. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. There is no elevator - any luggage you have, you yourself will have to carry up to a very narrow and steep stair. The place has no AC and very very bad ventilation. Basically people were keeping their main doors open to create some current in their rooms, which really didnt look very nice from outside. The was a fan in the room who saved the day somewhat, otherwise, you'll be cooked very slowly throughout the day/night. The room is very small, the bed basically occupies almost all the space, but the bathroom is the smallest I have seen yet. You only have space to turn around and thats it. Avoid if claustrophobic. The floor is very noisy when you walk around, in the little space around the bed. OK for short and light stays. Avoid if travelling with children.

The staff were incredibly gracious and accommodating, and location couldn’t be better. I knew this in advance, but the rooms were truly tiny. Also, the bed was very hard. It was summer and very warm in the room. There was a fan in the room, but it didn’t work. After a sleepless night, I brought the defective fan to the front desk and they kindly gave me a functioning fan. I slept better on night two, and was able to get the fan cord to reach the outlet by unplugging the TV. Much better!

Location, close to the Eurostar station at St. Pancras. Very small, stuffy room. Narrow staircase, no elevator. It was during the heatwave, so it made it worse. The fan wouldn’t start. I asked for assistance with it and was met with less than friendly stare. There was a heavy bedspread that I am sure it is not being cleaned/changed between the guests. The sliding door to the bathroom was off the rail, so it couldn’t be closed.

Shared toilet and separate shared shower were very small and difficult to manoeuvre. It's also quite warm in London and I couldn't open the window any further to let a breeze in, so the room was very stuffy (probably not hotel fault and just abiding by a law)

The location was perfect. Within 2 mins walk of St Pancras station, but without the noise of Euston Road. The room was serviced daily and the beds were comfortable, if a little high from the ground. The room was incredibly hot, despite it being quite cool outside. Due to fire doors and opening restrictions on the window, it was impossible to cool the room down - a fan would have been very welcome (I see in the listing one was advertised, but it wasn't there in the room - maybe I needed to ask for one).

The staff was kind and friendly. The room was small, but tidy. I stayed during the hot wave and the room was extremely hot. The window didn’t work well, so they put a bible to keep it open.

    Location Stairs

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

The combination of location and price was what was most valuable to me this time, and I only stayed for one night. The bed was comfortable as well. The room was extremely tiny, and a couple of small fixes could have made it much better. For example, the curtains were torn and the window couldn't stay open (it was propped open by a Bible...).

The location is very ideal. Close to the train station, pubs and restaurants. Shower area can get very wet because of short glass panel

Being on the ground floor due to disability, I didn't know the underground trains go directly underneath this bedroom all day and night every few minutes and being a light sleeper I did struggle to get to sleep. I would advertise this so people know in advance

    The cost!

Good value in a Great location I chose a Single room which was very small as was the bathroom. It was ok for me but it would be too small for a larger person or for a stay that is longer that 1or 2 nights

Close to the train station Small room and very small bathroom

Good location near Kings Cross and St. Pancras station. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. The toilet seat of the shared toilet kept falling down, and the shared shower door was hard to open from inside.

Very friendly and accommodating reception employees. Comfy beds and nice to have cafe and tea set up. Price seemed high for a single room.

    Tiny bathroom

  • Engine customer May 2026

The location was what we needed. We needed a place that was very close to the main train station for walking with our luggage. The staff was helpful with suggestions of places to eat and providing us with additional towels. Our room was on the 5th floor. That the rooms are very small and needing a deeper cleaning and maintenance of furnishings. The desk chair had screws missing and the seat was barely attached to move it within the tiny location. There was a odor coming from the bathroom of stale mold. We left the door closed and the fan on to air it out. The bathroom mirror needs to be replaced- the reflective backing is all worn out. There was a lot of mold in the shower, on the inside bathroom door, on the bathroom ceiling. I showed the pictures I took to the reception and they said they would look into it. I thought that I booked this place thinking it had an elevator but it does not and the stairway up to our 5th floor room was overwhelming with our luggage and even doing our daily outings. The window sill and coverings are needing to be fixed and repaired. The photos in their description definitely were not a depiction of our room. We made do with this stay and this is a older building that needs to be gone through. My score of disappointing is reflective of our room as we received it.
