Flemings Mayfair - Small Luxury Hotel of the World

Rooms are always very nice, decent sized for London hotel rooms. Cleanings are always done including turn down service and it feels like a fresh room every time you get back from your day.

Great hotel, staff always incredibly helpful and courteous. The cocktail bar is a beautiful place for an incredible drink.

Thank you so much to the hotel for everything! We spent a wonderful five nights here. Our flight arrived early, and the hotel kindly arranged an early check-in and a late check-out for us, as well as helping us with luggage storage. Excellent service! The breakfasts were very tasty, but we would have appreciated a little more variety in the continental breakfast selection - for example, adding some fresh vegetables.

exceptional location: room excellent we were upgraded to a suite which was a lovely surprise as well as a complimentary bottle of champagne given(i was celebrating a significant birthday milestone): beautifully furnished and decorated through out the hotel. Breakfast was included but not cooked: continental only: but i must say that was extensive with a variety of foods available of exceptional quality. cocktails were excellent in the atmospheric bar but expensive.

Disappointing

Beautifully located, a 5 minute walk to the palace and almost next to the underground. Both Guest Service and the Concierge were very helpful and friendly. Upon entering the room we immediately realised it didn't match the pictures that were online with the room we booked. The room was older and much smaller, with just a bed and a cramped bathroom, missing any of the additional space or seats depicted. We immediately flagged this to the reception, who indicated that the pictures were of a much more luxurious room. We were asked to return the next day after breakfast (no apology), to speak to someone more senior about a possible upgrade. Upon doing this, we spoke to a pleasant staff member who explained they were fully booked and there'd be no possibility to change rooms. They were apologetic and tried to think of other solutions, but none of those suited us personally (ie a free drink at the bar, but we don't drink). Although guest service really tried here, I left dissatisfied with the hotel. In my opinion, this is really poor expectation management- you are promising guests something more luxurious than they get, something that could easily be avoided by just using accurate pictures. The room was still fine, but not what I expected. For the size and price, I wouldn't book this again and wouldn't recommend it.
