Location was great Room was tiny, minimal facilities, shower could barely fit in

location to hyde park bed was very uncomfortable, every time I moved it creaked. It was quite outdated

Easy to get to, a short walk from Edgeware Road tube. The room was good value for the price paid, quite quirky if a little dark in its decor. The 'Reflections' room I had at the back of the property meant that it was extremely quiet for a central London location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Overall, a good experience. The decor of the room made it very dark overall, the bathroom was quite cramped and the shower needs updating but was functional.

The location was perfect, just off the Edgware Road at the top end so very convenient for Edgware Road stations (Bakerloo Line & Circle, District and Hammersmith & City Lines). The room was clean, well maintained and quirky, I had "The Secret Garden" room and was lovely, a comfy four-poster bed with television. There was a wardrobe and a dresser for those who are staying a few days. The quirkiness of the décor in the building is the main feature & I loved it. You also get fresh towels in your room with a bar of soap. There is also a kettle with teabags, sachets of coffee, sugar & UHT milk cartons. The building is old which needs to be taken into account, so you have a wash basin in the room which was ideal for brushing your teeth because there was no plug, perhaps this had to be asked for at reception? So the bedroom & toilet was just opposite the room down a small flight of stairs. The bathroom was dated and was installed in the nineties and had a bit of a damp smell to it. But the shower was fine. The location as mentioned is 100 yards from Edgware Road which has a vibrant Arabic community with restaurants and shisha bars staying open until the early hours, so if you have your windows open you can hear that, especially when they race up and down with their flash cars! But this is beyond the hotels control, just a warning who fancy a quiet nights sleep.

We had to ask for towels as there were none in our room. My husband couldn't even access the shower as it was too small for him. The mattress was uncomfortable and not to mention the amount of dust. I would like to recommend to anyone who might want to book it to avoid it.

Location was excellent. Room was interesting and quirky and the fan and blackout curtains were a welcome addition. The facilities were very clean but the ensuite smelled of urine. There were no complementary products apart from a small bar of soap for washing hands.

Pleasant

Location was great for the venue we were visiting. I get that it's an old building and the old victorian theme, but the musty smell in bedroom was overpowering. They really should have opened a window ready for our arrival. The room was very warm and the fan was useless and noisey. There were no toiletries and only two towels. The bed was hard and the pillows were almost flat, there was no duvet just fleece blankets and the sheet was stained. And last but not least they charged us £25 to park for the night. The overall cost just wasn't worth money.

Pleasant

A little away from central London, but convenient for my appointment. A friendly welcome and generally clean faxikities. Whilst having themed rooms was interesting, it did not add to comfort. The room I was initially offered had separate wash facilities in a room that didn't lock. I changed to a rrom on the top floor (no lift) with a tiny and dated en suite.

Location, very close to Hyde park (we were attending a concert there) Car parking is a joke, staff rude and abrupt, hotel has a very musty smell and is very dated, fan non existent, shower was a joke (just about fit a child in there), didn't stay in the end we packed our bags and drive home after attending a concert in Hyde Park, avoid this hotel at all costs

Love the style inside the hotel and room. Although the room was lovely and clean it was to clostophobic for me . The parking was also not good.

Nothing Rude and aggressive staff, told to leave room key to leave the hotel. Will never stay again

Location to hyde park Room very very hot and stuffy. I know its been exceptionally hot but the small fan was inadequate. Bed very uncomfortable and lighting needs upgrading.

Very good

It was close to Paddington and quiet. the matress was so thin the springs were noticeable, and the bed squeaked and was very small. The TV had a poor signal, there was not enough room for one person, there was 1 hanger, at the end of the bed on a high shelf, the bed (on one of the hottest nights this year) had a lot of covers on, yes i removed them but the only place then for them was behind the bed. The chair got in the way of the sink, and the showeer never once got warm, let alone hot!

Bad

Small room but ideal for me as i was travelling alone and needed a comfy but affordable room in a location close to the Underground

It was located in easy walking distance of facilities and bus stop outside. The hotel has a quirky, 'Edwardian manor' style but sadly this results in form over function. Fine that it includes period pieces but they have to function in a 21st century hotel room! The bed had an old iron frame that hurt my legs to get out of and the mattress may well have been the original one, springs poking through. I had to put all the cushions under the sheet to form a makeshift mattress just to get to sleep. There was one overloaded plug for everything and I had to kneel on the floor to plug the dirty old kettle in. I couldn't open the ancient wardrobe even had I wanted my clothes to smell of musty wood, because the bed stopped the door from opening. No handrails on the tiny winding staircase either.
