Really great location, and the staff were so friendly and polite. The beds were comfortable, room was clean and the bathroom was spacious. There was also plenty of storage and two great fans, which was great in the heatwave. It’s a traditional, old-fashioned hotel but for the price and location - it was really good, and I got upgraded to a much larger room, which was nice. Not really a dislike as such: I was in a basement room and I appreciated the larger room, but as a solo traveller the basement room with access from street level felt a bit uncomfortable, especially with the old fashioned windows.

For the price we paid, very very good was very clean. No air conditioning, when it’s hot the rooms get very hot

The location: you are 2 steps away from the British Museum but the road is quiet and with no traffic at all. The staff: the guy at the reception changed my room for a fresher one because it was very hot in London. He was always kind and welcoming. The facilities: nice rooms, nice bathroom, nice atmosphere. The breakfast: it is cooked on the spot and it is served at the table. There is no air conditioning and London was boiling that day. But I understand that it was an exceptional summer.

Friendly, helpful staff. Great breakfast. Free tea/coffee machine in lounge was a really nice touch. Great location We liked it!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ridgemount Hotel. The staff was really nice and friendly. Breakfast was also very good and served at the table. The room upstairs (3. Floor) was a bit hot but we had fans in the room and this summer was also extremely warm.

Everything. A great wee London bolt hole. Traditional feel. Room decent size. Lovely helpful breakfast staff and young guy helped us carry our bags upstairs. Free coffees and hot chocs. Nothing

The Ridgemount was in a perfect location, central and close to the Goodge St Tube station. It was clean and tidy and the breakfast was nice and served by lovely staff. The room was lovely but because we were on the top floor, it got really uncomfortably hot. There were two fans so I know the hotel knows. Air con will need installing, at least in the rooms under the roof. Aside from that I would have given it 10/10. I will return but only if I manage to find a room on one of the lower floors or if aircon is installed.

Clean, tidy, professional & friendly staff Nothing. It was perfect

The hotel was centrally, located and easy to walk to a lot of things that we wanted to do. Harriet at the front desk was fantastic. We checked in with quite a bit of luggage and without even asking, he moved our room to a more convenient floor that helped us upstairs with our baggage was a lovely young man and very, very helpful. Breakfast is downstairs and was quite sufficient for our needs with both the choice of cereal and a hot breakfast with everything we needed and the staff there were quite lovely Nothing it was great

The breakfast was solid, served by very friendly people trying hard to be good hosts. The location is pretty good; easy walk to a variety of nice parts of the city, including the tube, Kings Cross, Soho, etc. The main day-staff was not friendly or welcoming, the night staff at least smiled pleasantly, but there was no questioning of how our stay was, no offer to help when we asked about cooling the room down other than handing us a bag of ice (seriously), and no explanation for the lack of amenities. There is no proper front desk: it's just a lady in a back office. Our room was on the ground floor (half basement) which you would think would have been comfortable and kept it cool, but actually it was hot. Hotter than the outside. Hotter than the hallway. It seems they advertise AC but not in that room (B1). The beds were fine but there is almost nothing else in the room, no proper soaps or toilletries, no desk or chairs. Because it was so hot (and mind you, it wasn't all that hot outside--only like 74F--we had the windows open except they open right next to the street, which is quite loud. Overall it seemed kind of tired and run down, but the photos and descriptions lent me to think it was upscale. It is not upscale. For the 300/night this was very poor value.

Really great hotel in a fabulous location. Its tucked away from the busy area so you have some peace and quite and yet it's close enough to restaurants, shops, buses, tubes etc. The staff were lovely and have great recommendations of what to do. The room is small, but laid out in a way that it doesn't feel too small. A fan is provided for the hot summer days. There's a stunning waterstones a few meters away. Breakfast was a typical English breakfast. They offer bag storage too which helped with touring once you have checked out or need to check in earlier. Nothing. It gave me everything I needed for a weekend stay in London. The only thing missing is maybe having a small kettle in the room for tea and coffee. You can get some downstairs, but it would be a nice touch adding that to the rooms.

The location and very friendly staff. Old school interiors, which I found charming. Nice bonus to have breakfast included! The room was pretty hot but the window was easy to open, and they provided a fan so I managed to get comfortable.
