About The Savoy
Originally opened in 1889, the world-famous Savoy Hotel is located on the banks of the Thames and less than 5 minutes' walk from The British Museum and The Royal Opera House. The hotel was once visited by the likes of Sir Winston Churchill, Frank Sinatra and Katherine Hepburn. Perfectly located in heart of the exciting city of London, The Savoy is only 5 minutes’ walk from Covent Garden, the hotel is just 20 minutes’ journey by public transport from the ultimate designer shopping destinations of Knightsbridge and Mayfair. With elegant marble bathrooms, The Savoy’s 195 guest rooms and 73 suites are decorated in either Edwardian or Art Deco style, blending comfort and elegance with discreet technology. Many rooms afford breath-taking views over the River Thames. At The Savoy you will find some of the London’s best-known restaurants and bars. Gallery, a vibrant space at the heart of the hotel is perfect for drinking and dining. The beautiful space seamlessly integrates contemporary style while remaining true to our much loved heritage. Innovative menus, carefully crafted by our talented culinary team, entice you in showcasing traditional recipes with a modern twist. Take the Savoy’s legendary afternoon tea in Gallery, in addition to breakfast, coffee, lunch, cocktail hour and dinner. During your visit, experience one of our three Gordon Ramsay restaurants, with a choice from Savoy Grill, The River Restaurant and Restaurant 1890. And make sure to spend time in the American Bar (widely regarded as one of the world’s best hotel bars) for a classic cocktail, or enjoy a character cocktail in the theatrical Beaufort Bar.

Exceptional comfort, amazing service, exquisite staff and an overall experience never to be forgotten. The Savoy is the such a special place…we will be back!

Fabulous room, but did find the bed a little too hard for my liking. I did request rooms together but due to one of the rooms being upgraded they weren't together but that was fine it was nice that my friend had an upgrade as we were there to celebrate her birthday. I have a little disappointed with the American bar. When we were first seated we were right by the piano player which made it difficult to have a conversation. We asked to be moved which we were but then it felt a little bit cramp where we were seated next. Think maybe rather than booking a table it might have been better to just walk in a sit at the bar.

I loved the decorations of the hotel, breakfast, Gordon Ramsay restaurants, afternoon tea, American bar and so on. The hotel’s location was very central so it was very convenient for me as a solo traveller. The staff was very polite and helpful too.

The staff went out of the way to care for us. Truly exceptional service. And the facilities are amazing. We could have slept in that bed for 20 hours. Nothing—no notes!
