Very friendly staff, but not over the top, which is just how I like it. The hotel is in a great location, with plenty of London’s main attractions within walking distance, including Covent Garden, the theatres, St Paul’s, Tate Modern, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. The rooms are a good size and well stocked with tea, coffee and milk — including some proper little bottles of milk. It might sound like a minor thing, but it makes a difference when so many hotels barely give you enough for a couple of drinks! The breakfast room is very grand and really makes you appreciate the history and character of the hotel. We would definitely stay here again. A couple of useful transport tips: the tourist buses stop right outside, as do the regular London buses. The nearest Uber Boat stop is Embankment, only around a five-minute walk away, and travelling along the Thames is a great way to get up and down London. Holborn and Covent Garden Underground stations are also nearby. The Tube is very easy to use — you don't need to buy tickets, just tap in and out with a contactless credit or debit card and you'll automatically be charged the correct fare. Just bear in mind that each person needs their own card or contactless device, so you can't use the same card for several people traveling together. n/a.

The location was excellent for the theatre and surrounding area. Went to Covent Garden and it was easy to get to a lot of attractions from there. My only complaint was that my sister and I had a twin room, but there was no sanitary bags for ladies. Other than that, everything was okay.

The staff here were amazing and made my birthday trip so so special!! The hotel made you feel at home, everyone always greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast was yummy, the interior was beautiful everything was 10/10. I highly recommend staying here and really appreciate the people working here that made us feel both at home and on a special trip!

Good hotel, nice staff but didn’t feel extra special Nothing stood out
-
Property is nice, large room and decent facilities It is a slightly older building and the rooms do feel a little dated. I experienced the lounge access which was a nice touch but had a bad experience of a shard of glass being found in my coffee, staff seemed concerned but no follow up or any feedback.

Every staff member who was a part of our short stay, made us feel incredibly welcome and well looked after. The location of the hotel is exceptional, especially if you’re keen to experience London by foot. The breakfast options were extensive and the food was delicious, not to mention the beautiful decor of the dining room. We would absolutely be back again, should we visit London in the future. There was nothing that we experienced during our stay, that we would offer as suggestions for improvements as everything was exceptional!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy and quick check-in. Room was spacious and well equipped. Bed was large and very comfortable. The lounge was brilliant, serving free breakfasts in the morning, free snacks, coffee and tea all day, and between 6 and 8, free alcoholic drinks and canopies. Just perfect. If you want to go to a show, you really couldn't have a better location. The room we were in had many large trees outside, which is beautiful, but it did make the room a little dark, and that's it, I'm really struggling to find anything wrong.

Good location, friendly staff, clean room and very good service. Helped with all enquiries and have booked for us a private car to the airport. Found the mattress a bit hard but I assume this depends on people’s tastes. Not an actual complaint

The original interior design. It was extremely dusty. Rooms lacked some of the supplies and items hotel should have supplied eg shampoo, tv remote. Staff at breakfast struggled to understand what we ordered so we got wrong meals.
