Thistle London Bloomsbury Park

The location of the property was pretty good. There was only one outlet in the room and none in the bathroom. Also the fire alarm system was faulty. We were evacuated in the rain the first time it went off. It then went off at 12:30 am and again at 5:30 am. The lack of sleep was horrible and left us grumpy and unable to fully enjoy one of our four days in London. Breakfast was not worth the price.

Staff were kind. Rooms were clean. No issues with hot water. Temperature control and outside noise was difficult.

Nothing apart from the location Staff were not helpful especially when i was trying to sort out the room issue and they were not responding to my issue all staff morning and night shift. Even when i raised the complaint to booking dot com still no action has been taken. Booking dot com were not responsive and didn’t attended my problem with the hotel and my message were answered after 2 days (one of my email) and the others not answered. Bad experience with booking dot com.

The hotel allowed us to drop our dags way before check-in time and leave them for a few hours after check-out time allowing us to enjoy London without being weighed down. The air-conditioning was very welcome with the current high temperatures The water pressure, but we were on the 6th floor which may have explained that. And there were some parts of the hotel that looked a little tired/poorly painted. It felt quite pricey for one night that didn't include breakfast.

Small room.

The location is good. That's about it. The bathroom needed cleaning after I was ill; the front desk couldn't access their own supply closet; we were given extra towels. We left a clean room request ('please clean' door tag combined with the naive idealism that the front desk would pass a note to housekeeping) out for five hours starting just after 9am—peak cleaning time—and came back to an unclean room. When housekeeping eventually came that afternoon, we left the hotel again to get out of their way. The bathroom floor had clearly not been mopped. That evening the base of my bed collapsed while I was lying on it...genuinely embarrassing to find yourself sitting on the ground. When I showed the front desk a photo, they sent housekeeping instead of maintenance. At checkout, no gesture of goodwill was offered despite raising all of this. The follow-up email implied I had broken the bed myself—as if hundreds of previous guests hadn't worn it down first. The replacement base was visibly better made than the original.

Only location and staff Room is too dusty and noisy floor. There is scaffolding next to the window and it made lot of noisy on the windy nights.

The bed was very uncomfortable and the room needed updating although it was very clean the bathroom door wouldn't shut and the extractor fan was very noisy.

Alex and Idris went above and beyond my expectations. They were extremely friendly, welcoming, and did all they could to make our stay comfortable.

The breakfast is plentiful and varied and can be free in exchange for skipping housekeeping. The security is good requiring a key swipe to enter the building at night. The beds were comfortable The shower floor is sloped but they offer anti-slip mats

The rooms look a bit tired and the shower was perfect if you were under 5ft

Nice friendly staff, good location. Room 413 - basin plug does not work well. Office chair with desk does not work well, as the space between the bed & desk is too small.

The rooms at the front of the hotel are small and noisy, with creaking coming from above and road traffic outside. The breakfast was very bland. In my 10 year old daughter's words 'the food tasted like wet emptiness'. I left feeling disappointed because I was hoping the breakfast would make up for it.

It was ok. A bit tired looking, but all clean and was alright for a 1 night stay Could do with a lift with the property overall.

Facilities was very good and bed so comfortable good night sleep and staff was Soo lovely definitely recommend good night sleep here

The location is the only redeeming aspect of this hotel. The bed is extremely uncomfortable to the point it’s hard to fall asleep. The front desk was very strange. When we came to retrieve our bags that we had left with them during the day they couldn’t locate one of our bags and shrugged their shoulders. I had to go back and find it for them.

Staff were great. Breakfast was great. Location was great. Room was tiny and basic for the money paid, in need of decoration, Bed on wheels when sat on bed it moved immediately and could cause an injury. In bed, I could push bed away from wall.....

Location. Cold room. Cold outdated bathroom .
