The location was good. There is a lovely Waterstones opposite. Only a 20 minute walk from St. Pancras. We were placed into a room at the top of the building with obvious signs of damp and extremely poor repair. The walls were dirty, damp areas had been painted over, there was black mold on the walls and window and suspicious stains on the headboard of the bed. The bathroom was a dated, pre-fabricated model with a shower 40 cm wide and almost zero hot water pressure that did not look anything like the pictures on the website. The hot water ran out about 2 minutes into my shower. The air was thick with air freshener to mask the humid air and my partner and I both developed respiratory issues as a result. The front desk seemed to know that this was the case with the room: as soon as I went down to complain and mentioned that we were in room 11, they said that they could look for a new room for us in the morning. Apparently they are not able to see what the availability of new rooms is until the day itself, which seems implausible. They were in no rush to help us immediately and seemed to be dealing with it as a matter of routine. Nobody working at the hotel seemed to have any real power to make remediation and we were simply brushed off and told to email the holding company if we wanted to ask for a refund. On top of this, the breakfast was the bare minimum that could reasonably be called "continental".

The staff is friendly. The breakfast is nice. Shower and bed are reasonably comfortable. My wife and I got bitten probably by bed bugs. We together have over 15 swollen red hot hard itchy bites overnight. My daughter smashed a bug on her bed that spilled out blood. Some of these bites weren’t obvious until hours later. Since we rushed to check out, we didn’t get a chance to notify front desk.

Good value, location, breakfast was good, staff was friendly. Easy to check in. We were able to check our luggage after checking out which was a huge help and value. It was just fine! Nothing to report. The hotel was exactly what I expected. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable.

The smell (sewer?)in the room (we had to be moved to a new room) the new room also had it. The light setup (hard to figure out) toilet made noise when flushed.

Staff were really helpful when I couldn't get in my room. They'd forgotten to give me a key as well as a card key. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Not applicable

Very good staff. Very modern, and well appointed room/en-suite. Great location. Warm, and quiet. Quite frankly, a very good experience all round A minor negative was the size of the bed. It was a small double, with an even smaller duvet - and no blankets. And the bath towels were very small.

Great location. My Room #29 was right next to the breakfast room. Every morning at 5:30 am there would be set-up, so unless you are a morning riser, don't get this room.

I was shown to a very spacious room on the first floor. It had a window which looked out over an internal back garden. The windows do not have bars but there was a gap and a large drop directly outside of the room so it did not feel very vulnerable. I kept the window closed when I was out just to be careful. There was a long narrow table just in front of the window which was very convenient. The room was pleasant and had a kettle with tea, coffee and biscuits as well as other amenities like a hairdryer. There was an on-suite bathroom too which was clean and small but not too small. The breakfasts were good. (See below) I don't think there was anything that I didn't like. The breakfasts were good but it is worth bearing in mind that even though they were supposed to be from seven until ten (I think, they said that) The staff start to clear everything up by half past nine so there's no point getting there any later as you might not get more than a cup of coffee or a cup of tea...or nothing at all.

I loved the room. It was very spacious and considering this factor, I thought the price was very reasonable for the centre of London. There were also great amenities like a kettle with tea, coffee and biscuits as well as a safe and a small cooler box or fridge. When I arrived after travelling for several hours a cup of tea in my room was a great comfort. The room was on the ground floor which was also very convenient. The breakfast offered me everything that I needed and the coffee was good and always freshly made. This is the second time that I have stayed here and the staff have always been very friendly and helpful. The problem with a room on the ground floor for me is that I can't help feeling nervous about the possibility of someone breaking in. It is not likely to happen during the day since there was a space with a large drop outside my window as well as railings etc. and there are always people going past. The only slight concern was when I left the window open at night. In fact there were two windows in the same frame, as it were, so by opening one of them at the top and the other at the bottom I could have made it extremely difficult, practically impossible, for an intruder to get in, but I don't know how easy it would have been for me to have done that. It wasn't obvious. I could only see that they could be opened at the bottom. During the day I closed the windows but that meant that the room was very warm and did not air well while I was out. That was the only negative aspect. I'm sure that this could be easily fixed and if I'd staid another day or so, I might have sorted something out.

Room was small but cozy, with a little garden window and even a washbasin. Location pretty top.

Breakfast was great! Historic hotel, so charming. Very nice staff and excellent location. We were able to walk most places, or hop op on the nearby tube stops. Unfair to judge perhaps as we arrived in a horrible and unusual heatwave. Our third floor room with no AC and tiny humid bathroom was nearly unbearable. Aft first the fridge did not work, but they fixed it on day 2. Thankfully, the kind gentleman at reception was able to move us downstairs to a cooler room with a lovely bath on the third day at no extra charge. Our last 2 days were excellent.

Stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is located in a very comfortable location with a great access to major sightseeing areas. The staff is friendly and helpful There’re a few drawbacks to mention: having been to multiple megapolises, this one felt unreasonably overpriced. The amount of amenities is Spartan, the size of a room was kinda a cell size, and last to mention: the ceiling started leaking out of blue with a quite noticeable stream of water for a few minutes. The staff wasn’t too concerned about it, and just offer to temporarily move to another room in the neighbouring hotel. Next day they assured to remove the issue. In summary, not the best experience for such amount of money. Although, to note I was unlucky to stay during the Wimbledon, so the choice of accommodation wasn’t great
