Things I liked about the hostel: 1. LOCATION WAS SUPREME. Just beside the British Museum! 2. No fuss stay, staff were very accommodating. 3. Surroundings generally quiet at night, but not scary. 4. Hostel was generally clean! 5. There was free wifi. -- The hostel generally met my expectations given the price and the nature of the hostel (that is, I didn't expect it to be a luxury hotel.) 1. Was there during the terrible heat wave, there were only two fans for a room with 10 people. Maybe one more fan would have helped. However, we were told that some of their other fans broke down so they could not provide an extra fan for our room. I understand that extremely hot days are not usual in London in the past, but climate change may be changing this. 2. Unlike most hostels I've stayed in around the world, things like towels or luggage storage for the day (if you're leaving it with the hostel before check-in or after check-out) have payment, albeit minimal. 3. Steep stairs especially going to the top floor. It's a house converted to a hostel so this was expected, but can be difficult if going up or down with a heavy luggage. 4. Wifi can sometimes fluctuate if staying at the topmost level.

The property was central to anything you’d want to do in London. Walking distance to tourist attractions, nightlife, the West End and shopping The pillows were so flimsy and limp

Amazing location right next to the British Museum and a short walk from the metro. The dorms were well ventilated with open windows and fans which really helped with this summer heat. The kitchen and lounge area were both great and the bathrooms were always kept quite clean.

I like the place. The location, staff. I actually would have stayed longer (or for my whole trip if I hadn't already booked another place prior). I will definitely return. Low pressure showers

The location is simply amazing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The 4-person shared room was quite spacious. The beds are comfortable enough. The room, the sheets, etc., were very clean. The shared kitchen is very well equipped. It is a quite old building, with no air conditioning. There was a fan in the room, but if you are there during the summer and unlucky enough to be staying during a heatwave, it gets veeeery hot. The nights were somehow bearable, still very hot though. There are no elevators. I was not with a suitcase, so it was okay, but taking a suitcase upstairs might be a challange. I was not aware that I needed to bring a lock to lock my belongings in the room, which was not cool. I had to buy a lock at the hostel for 7,5 pounds.

It was ok for a short time, but the construction work was loud, the sleep because of the shared room was distributed too

This was my first time in a hostel in London and it was great. I really liked that it was mainly students and people on their 20s in holiday/ studies trips. I book a room in "the quite building" which was across the street, so its fabulous they give this option.

Kind of good Kind of good

The laundry situation is extremely limited and I wasn't able to wash anything. Some WD40 on the luggage cages would go a long way with noise! I was totally okay with the top of a triple bunk bed, but some people might find that a little intense (or too hot in the summer), but I believe you can request a bottom bunk when booking.

But the location is great, so for that price, I could deal wit it. I added a star just because the three different staff to whom I voiced a concern were always cheerful, understanding and accommodating. I was prepared for “You get what you pay for”, so I wasn’t expecting the Hilton—especially since I had stayed in about 10-12 hostels across Europe the past month. But there were just too many imperfections that this hostel doesn’t merit a top rating. Hopefully you don’t do something wrong and get banished to the dungeons two blocks away what management refers to as “The Annex”. Too many cold showers or super low water pressure. Doors that didn’t actually lock and that were never repaired three days later after I pointed that out to staff. Just don’t expect a perfect stay. I doubt the Hilton would even be perfect.

Disorganized and slow staff, really bad nickel and diming as a business model, still somewhat pricey for what you get..

The Hostel looks like a prison. The pool to wash your hands and teeth, extremely small. The hands barely fit. I had very bad experiences with other guests, but that goes beyond the Hostel. I don't recommend it.

The shower room was in main building. I've walked to previous outside building to get shower in morning

Unbeatable price/quality. For a cheap price you get a very decent place to sleep at the heart of London. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. I was pretty satisfied with the breakfast too, given how expensive it is to eat out in the city. Staff were polite and friendly. I would definitely return here if I was looking for hostel stays again in London. No complaints really. For the price I paid, it was as good as I could expect.

No bathroom in the room. Bathrooms were small. Didn’t provide towel

Location was great, staff were very kind, they had social events every night if you wanted to partake, and kitchen was stocked with oil and salt/tea/coffee/milk. Areas of improvement would be: 1. To wipe down toilet seats every night around 10pm 2. Either provide two old pillows per guest or replace the pillows because they were so flat 3. Coat hooks in the kitchen would've been really nice! 4. There is a fee for storing a bag anytime after check-out (even if it's 30 minutes)
