Friendly staff and very cheap No curtains on bunks

Wonderful location. Shower curtains had mold. Some nights the room was boiling hot. The running water was scalding hot. Subpar breakfast.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The property is accessible and nearby most things in Camden, with great access to the city. The bathroom curtain had mould growing on it. The water was scalding hot and I couldn’t even tolerate it to wash my hands. I bought water to rinse off. There was always so much dust. The last few nights were so hot that I walked around for hours because inside the dorm room was sweltering hot. There were people sleeping in bikinis. I think there might have been mould growing in the room to make it so hot at night. The breakfast is subpar. It’s bread, jam, butter, canned fruits and unsweetened yogurt, cereal, milk, and coffee. That’s it. No eggs, nothing else.

Location and breakfast ok Staff cleaned my room every day and tidied but threw out things that were actually there for a reason my sleep apnea machine nose appliance was being soaked on the window sill vanished. Towels removed and not replaced , blueberries on window sill also vanished

This hostel is quite similar to many others in London. It’s connected to a bar and has a very international atmosphere, so it’s easy to meet friendly people from all over the world. The main downside for me was the room temperature. It was extremely hot, there wasn’t enough ventilation from the windows, and although there was a fan, it was so noisy that it wasn’t very practical to leave it on during the night. A few important things to know before you stay: * If you want to use the locker in your room, you’ll need to bring your own padlock. Otherwise, you’ll have to leave your belongings unsecured in the room * Breakfast is served from 8:00 a.m. If, like me, you’re checking out earlier than that, you won’t be able to have breakfast * If your check-out is before 8:00 a.m., make sure to discuss it with the staff when you check in. The key card has to be returned at the bar, but the bar doesn’t officially open until 8:00 a.m. I was lucky that someone happened to see me waiting and took my key card at the last minute, otherwise I would have missed my bus to another city Overall, it’s a good place if you’re looking for a social atmosphere, but it’s worth planning ahead if you have an early departure.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and patient. It was very clean. The washing facilities were very basic, and there were a lot of stairs.

The bar area was relatively comfortable, when I was permitted to use it. Pretty much everything else. The male barkeep working at night was abrasive. The mixed dorm was, in my opinion, unsafe for solo female travellers due to the lack of lockers with usable padlocks (out of 12 lockers, only 3 had combination locks and half had no padlock at all) and the shower room with flimsy lock directly facing the triple bunk beds. The mixed dorm was also advertised as having a bathroom, it did not- just the shower room. The toilets were located outside. There was no apparent lighting or ventilation in the dorm, just a large fan. The communal area/bar was closed off at midnight meaning guests coming back after that time had to eat either in the dorm or outside on the barrels used as by smokers. The whole hostel also looked like it was undergoing ongoing renovations as the walls didn’t seem to have any plaster and the doors didn’t appear to be fire safety doors.

The location was great, right at the heart of Camden so easily accessible to everything in the area. The staff were helpful and let me check in early too, the room I was in was also good. Bed was comfy and the room was well ventilated. The toilets/shower room was where it was let down, one of the toilets (of two) was out of order and the hangers for clothing in one of the shower rooms were missing too so effectively it meant only 1 toilet and 1 shower room working at any one time. It was clean though. I saw a flyer that said their pub is open till 3am on Friday and Saturday so probably not a good idea to stay here on those nights if you want any good decent sleep those days.
