Location was great and room very cute. Slept well and loved having open windows all night. Room smelled of an air freshener, was carpeted and shower was a handheld hose which is quaint but not the easiest way to shower. I know you can pin the hose up into a shower but water doesn’t reach out far enough to work.

Great location close to Notting Hill Gate tube station and Notting Hill market. Basic amenities and comfortable for one night. Staff were very friendly and approachable. The WiFi was down for our entire stay, which would’ve been fine if our room wasn’t in the basement meaning we had essentially no way to use technology for the duration of our stay. The staff informed us on check in that the WiFi would be fixed the same evening, however this did not happen. The shower was old and dirty but useable. Rooms are quite small but comfortable enough for a nights sleep and not much else. The hotel is located on a residential street and at 3am the neighbours were talking outside very loudly which woke us up.

It’s in a centered area, close to the metro There was no air conditioning, the room was too hot and humid. We got a room just next to the terrace where people could smoke so we couldnt even open the window totally because it was so close to it.

Great location, staff were amazing and giving recommendations and very helpful. Only downside, there was no air conditioner, staff provided a fan however, still quite hot in the small room and there was no mini fridge to keep water cold.

Location. Bag storage. Layer of dust on carpet. No mounted shower head.

Lovely big room with high ceilings & we were on the 1st floor so not too many stairs Would have been nice to have a fridge in the room

The hotel is in an amazing location, top notch, next to the Notting Hill gate. The stuff was friendly and helpful. the facilities were old, the room was not clean enough, the beds were old and to be honest the money was a lot for what we got

It was an ideal location for access to train , bus and a local store and good coffee shops The stairs .. but it’s a renovated house not a hotel

The front desk staff were nice and the location was great. When I checked into my room, the toilet still contained urine and human waste from the previous guest. That immediately made me question the cleanliness of the entire room. It only got worse from there. The bedside tables and light fixtures had visible layers of dust, which triggered my allergies almost immediately. The carpet was also covered with large, unsightly stains that made the room feel more like a rundown roadside motel than the hotel advertised in the photos. I understand that this is an older property with character, but "historic" shouldn't mean dirty. For the price I paid, I expected a clean, well-maintained room. Unfortunately, the overall condition was unhygienic and nowhere near what was represented online.

Definitely recommend staying at the Abbey! The staff is lovely and very helpful, as this was my first time in London, they helped me around and recommended places to go nearby. The accommodation is very close to all the gems Notting Hill has to offer, as well as access to public transport.
