I always associate the quality of my stays with the staff, and the staff at Hyatt Centric was amazing. The hotel was really nice, and their onsite cafe was super comfy with open doors that lent a sidewalk cafe feel. A bonus is that this Hyatt is right in the middle of the Pike, a very walkable area with lots of bars, shopping, and restaurants. All in all, this Hyatt was a great place inside and out to spend a few days. Didn't even need to rent a car. High-end yet casual Hyatt feel.

We loved the rooftop pool. So fun and such a gorgeous view! The room was well decorated, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was large. Staff was awesome. Our only disappointment was the pricing of breakfast items - it was ridiculous. But overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. Great job Hyatt Centric!

The room was clean, modern, and well maintained with plenty of space. The hotel staff were very friendly and responsive. The on-site restaurant had a limited menu but very good food. And the bartender was great! But the highlight was the rooftop pool. It’s well attended, so don’t expect an empty environment, but it’s a great way to relax in the sun. Overall, a very pleasant stay and experience. Plus, really walkable location with convenient access to the convention center.

The breakfast was the best thing about it; the food was excellent. Although I gave a good tip it felt a little embarrassing having to go up to the bar in two trips to get my plates and bring them to my table (I'd tipped before I did that). I would have liked to have had room service, but I knew that going in. The staff at the reception desk in general could be encouraged to be a little more interested in what their job is, and that is to welcome the guests and help them out if they have questions. It seemed like I had to pry information out of them, or that I was bothering them while they were standing there. It was strange; hadn't encountered that at other hotels before.

The location was nice and the hotel was decent. The room was a bit dated and the bathroom had mold around the shower. The front desk staff lacked customer service skills. They charged us 4 times for the stay and we waited all day to be able to check-in due to an error in their end. Would not recommend this location to anyone specifically for this reason.

First off I chose this place for its location and being close to the convention center for a three day event. Absolutely perfect for convention weekend as it is a flat five minute easy walk to the front door. You can go back to your room for a break and easy walk back to convention. Plenty of excellent restaurants and bars for food and entertainment after the convention all within walking distance. Never drive your car all weekend which by the way the hotel has no parking facilities and you have to park in a city parking garage across the street. At first, I didn’t like the idea of that at all but had no choice. As it turned out it was super close and had 24 hour security and it cost about 50 bucks from noon Friday to 10:00 am Monday, not bad at all and my car was fine. You can load and unload in front of the building and then move your car so it works out pretty smoothly. One of the most awesome rooftop pool area I’ve been at. The nighttime view of the Long Beach area was incredible and the weather was amazing at night. Nice big rooms with walk in shower. One negative about my stay which I can’t explain and never figured out what it was is that there was a weird rhythmic hum that was like a vibration from a motor running or something. Wasn’t that bad, and I was exhausted and slept very well. Great location for a super fun weekend at the convention.
