The rooms are stylish, clean and comfortable. Very helpful front desk reception and friendly valet service. Nothing
-
strongly got the impression they don't like people who book on third party sites.
-
Pleasant staff, pool, and rooms. Great location. A/C units in both rooms I've stayed in have been noisy - that's my only complaint. Would definitely stay again.

Loved the ambiance of the hotel!! It was beautiful. The staff was so nice and wonderful. It is in the perfect location.

Location…nice people at front desk. Love the restaurant next door…convenient and open late. Decorating style is fun… Resort fee of 35 bucks seemed excessive…just a small pool which I have yet to use.

Our room had a double door to the bathroom area with one of the two doors missing to provide privacy. Additionally, there was no body wash in the shower - empty container. When flagged to reception, they said you could call and ask. True, but do I have to remind you of how to do your job? How is this not part of refreshing a room and why is that the customers responsibility?

Great location, 30-40 minutes to almost everything in LA. The on-site Swingers Cafe has a full liquor license, American fare kitchen, open to 3 am for your late-night impulses! The TV has all apps blocked. Not able to stream commercial-free media. The Valet was unnecessarily bossy.! Made me move my car 1 foot just to claim his territory, even though I was simply parked to pick up my luggage.

the vintage design of the hotel is great. pool area is nice. great location for getting around mid-LA and even walking to the grove, 3rd street, farmers market, fairfax, weho, beverly center, etc. can't do better. i've stayed 3x in the last 6 months, and this last stay reinforced something I just didn't want to say because I like the concept of the hotel, but this place is way past its prime. so admirable to have fixed this place up in the first place, but now it's just long in the tooth. carpets worn, threadbare towels (one even had a giant hole in it), bed isn't the most supportive. AC sucked and was loud with a peculiar sound (and a split like this should perform so much better than the in-window units you often find). there is just a sense that they've given up. it needs a massive refresh, but they are still charging real money (and unfortunately this is an LA thing... a lot of hotels that kind of suck for 2-300 bucks).

It was close to the places that we wanted to go. The room was spacious and clean. They have full size mirror which was a plus. The floors and walls are thin. You can hear people dragging their suitcase outside the room.

The property manager Marlo was excellent in providing customer service. But the room we stayed in was disgustingly dirty. The pool was nice and having the restaurant attached was awesome. But due to the room being poorly cleaned, we cut our trip short to stay elsewhere. Marlo was extremely accommodating and if we were to ever return, it be because of his promise to ensure a pleasant stay.
