Room was ugly, bathroom absolutely tiny. Hard to move around in it. Mattress very uncomfortable.

Excellent location, very clean, very good A/C, very comfortable beds but short, if you are over 1.8m you will be uncomfortable. I would stay here again! Noise from neighboring rooms, you can hear footsteps, opening and closing doors, etc. Bring earplugs or white noise.

Location is excellent within the city center and central to all the main plaza areas. Very walkable without need for taxis. Free wifi. The location is excellent for exploring Madrid on foot; however, the overall stay was extremely disappointing given the price paid. The rooms are exceptionally small — manageable for a solo traveler, but likely uncomfortable for more than one person. The most significant issue was the persistent odor coming from the bathroom plumbing, even when the bathroom was not in use. The smell resembled raw sewage and significantly impacted the comfort of the room throughout the stay. Communication and hospitality were also lacking. The staff was very proactive in sending repeated reminders about check-in and checkout times, including checkout notices sent days in advance. However, when I sent a simple message asking how best to arrange an early morning taxi to my next destination, I received no response at all despite waiting two days. Ultimately, the cost-to-value ratio was extremely poor. Paying approximately $455 USD for three nights in a tiny room with ongoing plumbing odor issues did not feel justified.

Hostal Madrid Inn is an excellent value for the money! The rooms are small, but nicely decorated, very comfortable and clean with good ammenities, (eg TV, kettle, fridge, suitcase valet, plenty of towels.) Don't be put off by the lobby, which looks a little worn. The location is excellent for tourists. Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, the Prado, Reina Sofia and botanical garden are all within walking distance. The Gran Via, Sol and Callao metro stops are also close by. The hostal staff are very friendly and helpful. Check out is at noon, but they let me leave my bags until 7 PM!

Great location and quiet. Also very clean with nice staff. Bed was comfy. Window did not close completely. Very basic accommodations. Think comfy dorm room.

Location is very near to metro and main city & lot of restaurants. Checkin process was so fast, the receptionist is helpful. For short stay or for transit, it’s ok, budget friendly. Bath room is too small, however it’s not a concern for short stay.

The room and the bathroom were very small.

There was a very bright exit sign above the door, so the room wasn't dark during night and it bothered me quite a bit.. There was also a smell in the room, maybe dampness. You don't necessarily notice it when you are in the room, but upon entering, you do.

Great location; clean; friendly staff Small bathroom, but already expected this from previous reviews. Shower Water pressure was somewhat low and at times hot/warm water went cold.
