I think there is no breakfast as there were many restaurant nearby. Jonker Street was nearby too but since I am an older person, I took Grab there. I had a good rest, the hotel was clean, had hot water, comfortable. It was worth the money too. Nothing

Located close to everything especially to Jonker Street. Walked no more than 3 minutes to reach Jonker Street and was able to stay there longer and have more fun as the hotel is very close. Was able to walk to Baba Nyonya Muzium as well and not feel that it was far from the hotel. I like that the hotel is very close to the Masjid, but there could some congestions due to the same roads being used by the Masjid patrons and the hotel patrons. Hotel room was small and had little room for movement. The toilet is very basic. Because the hotel shares the same area as the masjid, I don't like that the hotel patrons (some being foreigners from non-Muslim countries) wear inappropriately and behaving inappropriately. Not their faults, I must admit. But I do not like that by staying in the hotel, I am forced to see this.

Extremely rude manager Refused to have room cleaned every day. If you are female and single stay away from this hotel.

Staff are very nice and kind. We asked borrowing a hair dryer. Walkable distance from Jonker street. Na

Jonker Street is within walking distance. Yet the location is far enough to avoid the crowd and traffic. Best part is that the hotel has its own guarded parking, and the rate is affordable, giving me peace of mind.

close to center , great management

The hotel environment and the management. The hotel has a very unique concept whereby it's located in a mosque and everyone is welcomed with open heart. It was definitely an awesome memorable experience staying at this hotel. I will definitely rebook this hotel the next time I am in Melaka.

Excellent location and lovely people

The Owner of the hotel is a great host and very helpful
-
There are no outlets next to the beds, but after we told them, the manager provided an extension cord right away.

The unlimited supply of water and snacks was much appreciated. Beds were comfy, and our hosts very friendly and informative. The shower had very limited hot water and no barrier to prevent water from spreading across the bathroom floor.

Clean. There was a place to hang clothes and luggage tables. Air con and water heater good. There was a very small common pantry with a refrigerator and coffee things. Nice lobby to relax in. No shower curtain. Only one electric outlet in room. No cozy or bedside lights. Bright light right outside the window that the curtain couldn't block all the way. The light was on the "balcony" that wasn't a balcony (no door and filled with the compressor for the air con).

Overall, highly recommended - fantastic value! Atmosphere: The host at the reception was exceptionally welcoming and genuinely helpful. We felt very comfortable and safe. Parking: It is right in front of the hotel. Enter from Lorong Masjid, it's paid but your can validate the card you used for payment at the reception and get the 8RN flat fee. Room: spacious, very clean, very quiet, good water pressure in the shower, beds are very comfortable, air conditioner and wifi work well, no problems at all - very good experience Location: a short walk from Jonker Street night market (and all its amazing foodstalls), restaurants, all the main attractions and the riverside - it is a great base to explore the city nothing - all was great ?

Great stay. The host was so nice and helpful. It is in a very quiet area but walking distance from everything. The room was spacious and clean. They offered complimentary coffee, water, and bananas at the front desk.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Cara Hulu hotel. Our room was clean and spacious. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The location of the hotel was excellent, e.g., a short walk to Jonker Walk and local attractions. But what made our stay remarkable was the proprietor, Ridzuan Jalil. He could not be more hospitable, friendly and helpful. He provided excellent recommendations on where to dine and transportation options. On the day that we checked out, there were multiple parties trying to find transportation on a busy holiday weekend. Mr. Ridzuan was unflappable. He calmly helped everyone with utmost professionalism. By the way, don't let the hotel's location to a mosque deter you. Yes, you can hear the calls to prayer, but they are brief and unobtrusive, particular when you're in your room. My wife and I thought it was an interesting cultural experience.
