I rarely write reviews, but after this stay I feel like I absolutely have to. This was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, and I have never seen anything quite like it. To start with, you actually had to reserve a spot at the swimming pool, and even then you were only allowed to stay for 30 minutes. Having to plan and reserve a 30-minute swimming slot completely defeats the purpose of having a relaxing holiday. The hotel had reduced the capacity of the air conditioning, meaning the room remained uncomfortably warm throughout our stay. The room itself looked nothing like the pictures we had seen when booking. The difference between what was advertised and what we actually received was shocking. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, the cleanliness was completely unacceptable. The room and bathroom did not feel properly cleaned at all, and there were visible stains in the bathroom. Even worse was the attitude of the staff. They were extremely rude. I honestly cannot remember ever being treated this poorly by hotel staff before.

The hotel is very well located, close to some of the main sights, including the Cathédrale Major, the Old Charity, and the Old Port. The staff were generally friendly. Giod breakfast buffet with a friendly server. There is a number of things that we didn't like. The hotel feels very small and almost claustrophobic. Small room even if we reportedly got an "upgrade." The pool is the smallest we've ever seen and anything more than 2 people makes it crowded, and there is mold on the walls. The hamam was not working. The check-in took almost half an hour as there was only one person servicing a dozen guests. We also waited for 15 minutes for an elevator. Housekeeping entered our room even if there was a "Don't disturb" sign at the door...

Lovely room on side street, near the Joliette metro and Tram T2 and 3. Lively neighbourhood. Really liked the small pool downstairs to destress after a long day. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. The breakfast was varied with sweet and savoury options. The pool was quite small and it was slightly awkward being there at the same time as other guests.

Very clean room. Nice and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was also nice. The parking procedure with the private parking company was very complicated. Also we asked for smaller pillows twice in order to get them.

The property was in a great location, the staff were excellent and extremely understanding and supportive, it was also clean. The breakfast food was very limited and didn’t look appetising to me personally. There’s no waiting area. The gym was tiny and basically pointless if you’re someone who likes to lift weights. The parking process was a little bit complex, the ticket the hotel issued didn’t work for us on one of the days and that was very frustrating considering how much it cost.

We had a lovely, bright, clean room. We loved the two sets of traditional French windows and quiet street. The staff were all very warm and helpful. The location was great for exploring Marseille on foot. We would definitely recommend it. We didn't book a room with breakfast included, which was a good thing, as I found the 19 euro breakfast was over-priced and pretty basic when I had breakfast. But that's ok, there's a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a Monoprix nearby on Rue de la Republique where you can buy some decent breakfast provisions or have some breakfast in any one of the nearby eateries.
