The view from the room was fabulous. We enjoyed the small balcony overlooking the sea and the view from the bed was just as good! The location was very convenient for walking around Le Vieux Port! The room was quite small and difficult to navigate with luggage unless you fully unpacked and stored suitcases in the wardrobe. Except a small desk chair for the corner desk that pushed out to the bed, there was no place to sit in the room other than the bed. The bathroom, by comparison was quite roomy! Unfortunately during our trip, the city shut off water during our first morning.

Wow, what a cool property! It is literally right on the edge of the sea, and we had incredible views from our room, the dining area, and the rooftop lounge. It is very clean, bright, modern, and eco-friendly. I loved how close it was to the Plage des Catalans, a public beach which is both clean and safe. Our room had a small balcony and I enjoyed sitting out there watching the stunning sunset. We ate in the restaurant a delicious breakfast with healthy choices and some special treats, and we also had a lovely dinner there. Upon our arrival, there were 2 apples, 2 "Navettes" (like a biscuit, unique to Marseilles) and kind note in our room. It was a classy and welcoming touch. We had a mini-bar with complimentary bottles of juice and water, which was much appreciated, plus coffee and tea options in our room. The bed was comfortable and there were extra pillows. The bathroom was sparkling clean and modern. The property is close enough to the old port to walk, but it also feels far enough away to feel less hectic. I also enjoyed walking in the spectacular Jardin du Pharo not far from the hotel. When it was time to leave, we had excellent support from the staff getting a very early cab to the airport. Our room was a bit tight with very little room for our luggage, and no room in the bathroom to put our toiletries. I wished that we had been able to check in even a little early because we were very tired and we had asked over a month ago if it was possible. I had a panini sandwich in the rooftop bar that wasn't up to my expectations.

Typical European breakfast. Kevin did a great. Best coffee - French Press Bathroom was big & shower was great. We had a great deck. wonderful views & sunsets. Staff was very helpful especially all 3 Julias the rooms are on the small side. What would have been better was if the beds were high enough that your suitcase could go underneath.

My favorite hotel in Marseille. Every year it’s a tradition in our family to stay there. The rooms are super light, clean, many pretty details. Wonderful view and very friendly staff. Suzanne Kaufmann cosmetics makes it feel like home. I love everything about this place, one of a kind? Nothing

The room was small. For this price you would expect a huge room and you dont even get a decent size room. One chair, no couch. I personally prefer more space to leave clothes and other stuff when staying in a hotel. For two people it was a tight fit. ( not the bathroom, which was big enough).I was staying on the first floor which can be a bit too close to the people on the beach below. 0 privacy on the balcony itself. Not that i used it but it should be noted as people stay on the beach till 12 pm. I still rate this stay a 9. This is just feedback.

Great location right next to plage des Catalans and the CNM (with daily passes). Small boutique feel, with curated experience. The restaurant, sunset bar and spa are all excellent. Team was extremely welcoming and helpful. NA

Unbeatable location, nice restaurants.

Proximity to water! Small touches go a long way.

My fav hotel, like a light sea breeze, love the minimal style and the location, rooms make you feel as if you sleep in the Mediterranean??. The only thing to criticise: because of the views and rooms close to the sea you tend to forgive that the house is not well maintained, curtains are dirty and have big wholes in the expensive junior suite, toilet flush is not stable etc. - once remodelled, the hotel didn’t try to keep the high standard, dommage. With a few handymen it could easily be fixed!

Excellent staff very friendly and helpful Beautiful place close to old town

Small boutique hotel with great views and fantastic service. Our room had two balconies overlooking the water, with an exceptional view. Rooms are new and have small little extras like a loan beach bag and towels which no other hotel offered is such a practical extra. We also were gifted a cute beach tote. Staff were incredibly helpful and requests were dealt with so quickly. Room very comfortable and would return again. Excellent roof top bar Nothing everything was excellent

Great location, attentive staff, nice room views. The lighting in the rooms were are very stark white which is a shame because the room is nice. We ran out of shampoo and lotion the first night and they let us know they didn’t have any more which for the cost of the room is not ideal when staying multiple nights..

Amazing location with a great view.

Les Bords de Mer was a veritable breath of fresh air in the not-so-clean city of Marseille. The hotel is refined, extremely clean, and comfortable. The staff are really nice. You can't beat the lovely view of the Mediterranean! No parking. The closest parking is one where the vehicles are frequently broken into.

The Hotel was perfect. The view, the location, the food, the facilities, the staff, even the smell in the property was insane. I end up buying their room spray. Will definitely come back my next trip in Marseille. Nothing, it was perfect. The rooftop bar were close unfortunately but for safety reason.

Location, location, location!!! Sandy (Plage des Catalans) beach literally next door, many excellent restaurants within 5 minutes walk, La Vieux Port 15-20 minutes walk, choice of bus stops within 2 minutes walk. Bus service brilliant. The Number 83 was our constant friend!! Stunning sea views from every room. We had a lovely room on the first floor with large balcony (upgrade), superb shower room, comfortable bed. Staff all very helpful, with Julie winning the award for the best smile! Lovely food but expensive compared to other restaurants in the Catalans area. The roof top pool is ingenious but tiny. Enough room for two at a time maximum. There are sun loungers but no shade. Our balcony was spacious but only had chairs, not loungers, so we thought our upgrade was a waste of money. The room was tasteful but designed without enough thought to practicality - no drawers so most of our belongings sat on a small worktop all week! The roof top bar sounded lovely but was never open when we were thirsty.
