An exceptional experience! The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and always accessible. The location is perfect—a peaceful retreat in an area packed with options for every taste. The room was very cozy, modern, and spotless. The rooftop is a highlight with a great vibe. I would stay here again in a heartbeat without a second thought! Improve the bathroom lighting.

Beautiful hotel. We enjoyed the open roof deck as well. Friendly staff. Fantastic location. The El Zarzo really represents all the best things of modern Medellín. It was perfect.

The staff was excellent, especially front deskers Angelica and trainee Juan Angel (who asked me each morning what my plans for the day were and seemed genuninely interested). The decor of the rooms and the rooftop are top notch. The bed was super comfortable. A nearby hotel (Sonos Beats) blasted super loud music from its rooftop until 3am each night, disturbing my sleep. The standard room had no chair, desk, or dresser....just a few hangers in a closet in the bathroom) and the hotel did not have a lounge area to sit in either.

For Medellin, everything about this hotel is more expensive. I'm not sure it's 100% worth the extra $.

Cleaning

Great staff, stylish decor, best shower ever, Nespresso machine in room. Location perfect for restaurants and tours. Noise - even with earplugs and white noise, the sounds of thumping base could be heard until 3 am on the weekend nights. Didn’t like the pillows and no alternatives available. Poor luggage space in room.

The location is great, is just blocks away from Provenza. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant has great Colombian food and let’s talk about the roof top: it’s just beautiful esthetic and great service with live DJ. Great for a get away from every day stress.

The on-site restaurant is fantastic, and the rooftop is absolutely stunning. We had read in other reviews that noise might be an issue, so we requested a quiet room in advance. Thankfully, it was very peaceful for us. They even provide earplugs in the room, but we didn’t need them. Breakfast is delicious, but can be a bit slow and it opens late for business travelers.

Extremely good taste and attention to detail. Music, decoration, food, services, super profesional staff but also cool and helpful. The architecture and the style is beautiful. Nothing

I recently stayed at Hotel El Zarzo and had an exceptional experience thanks to the outstanding service of Alexander at the reception desk. I wasn’t feeling well during my stay, and Alexander went above and beyond to help—he arranged for a doctor to see me in my room within just 20 minutes. His professionalism, politeness, and efficiency were truly impressive. He was not only kind and attentive but also extremely knowledgeable, which made a difficult situation much easier. El Zarzo is lucky to have someone like Alexander on their team. I was able to hear some of music from the nightclub close by.

The hotel was nice and clean, the room are comfortable, but a very small closet to hung your clothes. The restaurant has a roof bar, and the weekend has live músic until 2:00am, very loud, the noise in the room was unbearble, We called several times to the front desk to request to Stop or lower the Músic but they did not help us. Impossible to Sleep, rest or even to watch a movie.

El Zarzo is absolutely beautiful—clean, modern, and welcoming. The staff was friendly from the moment we arrived, and the lobby smelled amazing. The rooftop is breathtaking, and breakfast there was delicious. We stayed in the deluxe suite and the bathroom was stunning. Dinner at Cocina 33 was a highlight—excellent food and outstanding service. The only downside was the noise at night—loud music from a nearby club and a strange sound like furniture being moved made it hard to sleep. Still, we really enjoyed our stay overall and would recommend it for the service and design.
