International House Medellin - Hostel

The place could do with a little renovation, but for the price you pay, it is superb value.

The staff keep everything spotless and are always working hard, helpful, and in a good mood. The top floor is fantastic, with places to work quietly to yourself or socialize on comfortable couches. It is a beautiful open air area. This easily became my go-to spot for landing in Medellin, and many people here seemed to share the same sentiment. Zero complaints whatsoever.

Juan Carlos is always there with a smile and a great attitude! He kept the place looking like a five star hotel. Very clean and organized.

I LIKED EVERYTHING ABOUT MY STAY AT THIS FANTASTIC HOSTEL. The private rooms with view were comfortable and ideal for longer stays. The location to the Recreation Center across the street offered free GYM and Entertainment. Restaurant next door, coffee shops within steps. AND THE PROFESSIONAL KITCHEN, WOW! To be able to cook your meals comfortably was amazing. Laundry service on premise helped. Easy communication with management was great too. OVERALL A WONDERFUL STAY.

A fantastic stay for those who would like their own room, with a fantastic kitchen for cooking your own meals, close to swimming, park and sports center and within three blocks from Laureles neighborhood. Bonus, flat side walked streets.

The Kitchen is Fantastic because you have the ability to cook a proper meal. The opportunity to have your own room so you can have personal space was another bonus. The Location close to all sort of amenities and The Park Sport Swim Complex has completed a fantastic stay of about 12-14 days.

The rooftop (where the kitchen was) was gorgeous and a really nice space to chill and meet everyone else who was staying there. My room was nice and spacious, the shower was fantastic and the staff were really easygoing and let me check in early after I'd arrived off a night bus.

The shower was nice and warm with great water pressure! They have fridge space for each guest which was great. The balcony is lovely and comfortable. Check-in was easy. Laundry service was provided at a reasonable price. It's next to the sports park if you want to be active. The rooms are a little small and nothing fancy, but good for the price.

Great convenient place for visits around city, near metro, express bus and many local buses (use mooivit app). I enjoyed energy and right across from city sports center with pool. Recycling set up is confusing and not clear, please mark cans - thanks.

The facade does not look at it's best, but inside it is quite clean and the third floor is indeed nice.

Overall, a very good place. Fantastic rooftop kitchen and common living area. Sometimes it feels like if you are in a control tower at an airport, but it's kind of fun to see those planes from such a short distance. It can be a bit noisy, but you have the benefit of having a park right in the front with this nice pool and gym area, but after 11pm everything closes, so at night it's very quiet, and the planes can be a bit noisy as well, but same thing, there's no flight at night, so the night was pretty quiet, so overall I really appreciated that place.

The kitchen facilities were great, the best we have experienced in any hostel throughout Colombia. The location was also great, opposite a nice sports park / outdoor gym. Nothing.

Good communication with the owner I had the private dorm for 1 week, you have everything you need in the room I didn’t like the mattress
