Free easy parking. Close to train. Easy walk to cafes. Charming old buiding. Easy checkin and access. We have stayed a couple of times and will stay again. No problem for us but some people may not like to lift suitcases up the stairs.

Location, location! Just around the corner from Hawksburn village, there is a real shortage of non Airbnb accommodation in this area. It has become our Melbourne home away from home when visiting family in the eastern suburbs. It is great value with easy access to public transport and parking on site. You are always assured of a warm welcome.

Beautiful old building in a great location for my purpose of being in Melbourne. Just would have been nice to be in a ground room with my mobility impairment.

Amazing, over the top service. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Beautiful rooms and a gorgeous place overall. Well worth the money, (even though it was already a bargain) and will definitely stay here again. Nothing I didn't like

I loved this property as it had beautiful old rooms in the manor and which was unique to find in this day and age. It had such a wonderful 'old school charm' to the building. Perfectly located too between Toorak and Hawksburn - it was a short walk to both villages. Nothing - just wish I could have stayed longer.

The Manor was exactly how I needed it to be, welcoming, warm and classic. Location was perfect for my reason for being there. Having the parking option was an absolute bonus! Yana the Manager was exceptional in accommodating my every need and such a lovely person. Nothing

I absolutely loved the décor and style of this manor house. It felt like I was staying over at my grandma’s house, so it was very nostalgic and comforting. The burgundy walls, green carpet, old dark wooden furniture, and paintings on the walls all looked like it was straight from my childhood sleeping over at my grandparent’s old house. It was lovely and clean, the shower was nice and hot, and the beds comfortable. The location is also super convenient- only metres away from Hawkesburn station and the tram stop into Melbourne. The rooms aren’t very soundproof so I could hear some other guests banging around in their room in the night as well as some traffic, but it wasn’t horrendously loud.

A friendly comfortable home away from home

The exterior of the hotel was lovely. Ducted heating being pumped into the room all night. Instead of a queen/double bed they pushed two single beds together. Metal rattling bed head that served no purpose other than tacky decoration, it rattled all night. The hot water took 5 minutes to heat up of a morning. The parking was free but was difficult to get in and out. Location was next to train tracks. Heard the train rumbling past often.
