Pension Marillenhof

Quiet location, only a few units in the building, good breakfast A bit of a trek from town. Only 10 minutes, but more than I prefer for one night only

We really enjoyed our stay in Melk. The Marillenhof guesthouse was very cozy, and Mrs. Schreyl was very hospitable. The breakfast was delicious and featured a selection of regional products and specialties, such as homemade jam. If we ever come back to Melk, we’ll definitely stay there again! Nothing to complain about.

We had such a nice stay in Pension Marillenhof when visiting Wachau Valley. Melk is a nice small town with beautiful Abbey. Pension Marillenhof like a home away from home, quite, clean with touching decorations. Hostess is very responsive and caring. I wish we could have stayed longer. Nothing

Excellent staff and communication, good breakfast, we walked to town and train station (approximately 15 and 25 minutes). Easy walk to Abby. Very comfortable stay.

The place was clean, cozy and very welcoming. The host was kind and helpful and everything we needed was available. It was a perfect stop for a relaxing night.

In a quiet neighbourhood just a few minutes off the Danube River bike path. We enjoyed the plate of fresh Wachau apricots in our room. Our hostess gave a great recommendation for dinner (Pasta e Pizza) which was a short walk from the guesthouse. We sipped complementary coffee on the morning on the patio. Nothing!

Wifi was basically not working. The bed sheet was not clean. If you like to sleep in quiet, forget it!! They bang the doors!! And, early morning, you not only have that, but you'd hear the click-clock of people's shoes, walking on the wooden floor!! Also, if you're a big guy, you'd have a problem in the tiny shower. Otherwise, it's a beautiful place.

Pension Marillenhof is very well located, under 5 minutes walk to the old town of Melk and close to food stores. Bianca our excellent host prepared a lovely breakfast - poached egg, selection of toasts, cheeses and meat as well as cereal and fruit. Access to the room was easy as we had the unit at the side where we could come and go freely. Bianca communicated promptly and clearly with us as we travelled from Salzburg. Excellent value.

It’s a wonderful pension with a very warm host. We had a great view of the monastery from the window of our very comfortable room. The breakfast was excellent. Be sure to try the home made apricot jam. Nothing to not like
