Hotel Adler

The hotel was lovely! Very clean, there was good breakfast, and a great view from my room. The staff was lovely they were really nice and hospitable. Overall it was worth it. The one thing I found a bit challenging was not having a car because the hotel was a 10 minute ride from Menaggio and you have to take the bus but the last bus to the hotel was 7:50pm so otherwise you would have to walk up the hill and there’s no sidewalk. But on the other side the place was still really peaceful and had a great view!

The people were friendly and made every effort to make customers comfortable. They were fantastic!

To start, the views from the hotel were beautiful. The room itself was very spacious and clean for a family of five. The breakfast was included and wonderful. Above all, the owners treated us like family. We went to this location without a car, however the owners gave us tips for walking a walking/bike path to get to town. The walk down was very scenic and we loved heading down each day. Another tip from Andreas (the hotel owners son) was to visit Pescallo when taking a day trip to Bellagio as it was a 15 minute walk from the main ferry dock. This was a great suggestion as it got us away from the busy crowds to an area with sailboats and peacefulness. The property also has the sweetest cat, who my family enjoyed spending time with. Overall, we would highly recommend, and would stay there again if we were fortunate to go back. The only slight negative is that it’s a bit further out than we had previously thought. However, as mentioned above, ask the owners about the walking/bike trail. Or when downtown, take a picture of the taxi sign with the drivers phone numbers as there aren’t a whole lot of taxi drivers. Once we figured out the system of the walking/bike trail and taxis, we had no problem and loved our stay.

Lovely family-run small hotel. Beautiful pool with a fabulous view. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. The hotel itself was fabulous. It was just a bit far from the city center (40-minute walk; 6-minute taxi). But there is a an inexpensive bus that runs fairly often, just not late in the evening after dinner hours

Breakfast was fabulous. The staff were kind and helpful. The room was spotless and despite a busy road outside, it was quiet in the room.

It’s was in a perfect location the staff were so nice and welcoming really felt like we were staying at someone’s home very comfortable and lovely especially for a 2 day stay ! Loved the whole thing !

The host was very helpful

Only one side of hotel has rooms with a view of Como. The other 2 either face the village or mountains. We had the view of their parking lot and mountains. Our room was clean but quite small and spartan. Church bells serving as an alarm clock starting at 7 am. Bed was rock hard. Not near the water or center of Menaggio,one can't easily walk the distance due to dangerously narrow road with no sidewalk. Still using room keys. On site parking is 10€ per day, pool towel use is also 10€ per person

The mattress is pretty hard.

What a lovely place. The vinyl warmth of a private home, but with the professional care of a highly-rated hotel. Not only that, the food at the restaurant was made and served with LOVE. Wonderful place to stay. Nothing was wrong here, and it was the best booking I've had.

Lovely family-owned hotel with a very convenient and cozy restaurant on the ground floor. The gated parking lot was such a fantastic perk, as we had a large vehicle and parking in this area would have been very stressful otherwise. Nothing, this was exactly what we wanted. If you don’t have a vehicle, it might be a bit inconvenient to get to the ferry area in Menaggio, as it’s perched a fair distance up on the mountain above it. This wasn’t an issue for us.

Extremely clean and organised. Owners/Management very helpfull and makes you feel at home. Slightly away from center and only transport is by public busses.
