Great panorama to the lake from the restaurant, which was quite nice. Room is wide enough. No fringe in the room, later we found a common one for the whole floor.
-
Very friendly staff. Food was delicious. Very good breakfast. Room was a nice size. Very clean. Parking available. Highly recommend. Nice views.
-
The location. It was way too hard to get up and down the mountain where the hotel was down to Menaggio.
-
The hotel was quiet and in a most picturesque setting.

Location is perfect for scenic lovers There’s not much of soecifics to dislike

We stayed at Hotel Ristorante La Sorgente for 5 days, and I can confidently say that the family running the business is amazing. Tina, Davide, and Linda are very friendly, kind, warm and overall lovely. They went out of their way to help my wife and I during our stay whenever we needed help. The views from the hotel are wonderful, and the rooms are very clean and always smell great. The road leading up to the hotel is windy and fun to drive on, and it's only 10 minutes or so from the downtown core. Overall, I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We stayed for Via Spluga trek - excellent location. Bus stop from Chiavenna - 10 meters from hotel. 7 minutes by bus

The property had nice parking space but spaces are limited Ms Tina (business owner) welcomed us, gave the keys, explained how to unlock the doors, asked us to hurry the food orders if we want to eat as the kitchen was closing, told us that breakfast was from 8 to 10, we can take our food and eat in the balcony while we enjoy the view. Bring our plates back. In the morning as it had rained last night, she told us eat inside for I won't be leaning the table outside for you. Excessively kept telling us to bring our plates back as if we didn't know our would not have brought them back. That was kind of annoying

Nice and cozy place, great outside terrace with the lake view, swimming pool. The place is a bit old, if you flush the toilet, water will be running for 10-15 min

The location is good in terms of view. The staff were nice and spoke English well. The place is quite isolated. You have to drive/ride 10 minutes down some steep mountain road to get to the lake. The pool was not active and looked like it had not been used all year. Claimed it was an algae problem. Clearly this is accurate as the pool looked unmaintained since last summer. Very disappointing considering the last week it was mid 30's in temperature. Which comes to my next point. The rooms are sweat boxes! No Aircon and a weak fan means doors open and still sweat all night. Terrible sleep. Additionally the showers looked in desperate need of upgrade. The water stopped working halfway through the night. Lastly the dinner was okay. I had pizza and a cheese starter which all came out at once. The pizza was pretty good but you'll definitely get better in Italy. The one annoying thing for the restaurant is that the chef constantly bangs the ready order bell like 8 times every time he has food up. So all the time you're eating you hear an almost constant loud bell which ruins the ambiance. Look would I stay here again if I had to with no other choice? Yes. Would I book it again and pay the price they ask? Absolutely not! Choose elsewhere

It was a pleasant stay, breakfast is sufficient. Dinner was perfect, a variety of excellent pizza, desserts and beverages. It is an excellent location for venturing to the villages surrounding lake Como or for hiking tours in the mountains. We enjoyed the vintage vibes of the room, with a beautiful view from the balcony. The staff is nice and helpful, the rooms are clean.

Room was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. View is stunning. Restaurant is good.
-
Nice view. Good price to quality ratio. Dust here and there. Shower faucets could use descaling.
-
Breakfast and the room was comfy Internet connection was horrible and the sockets were old. We could not recharge our computers because our chargers did not fit in the sockets.
-
Perfect room with perfect facilities Nothing
-
It's a really quiet place to stay with an absolute perfect lake view It's a little bit overpriced, and the bathroom should be renovated
-
The staff was very friendly and nice, took our late order in restaurant There were very loud roadworks in the morning, nothing to do with hotel, maybe some sound isolation
-
Clean and well heated room, beautiful view over the lake and clean air. Friendly hosts. Excellent breakfast. The location is high above the lake, through many twists and turns to get there.
