Everything was 10 out of 10. Receptionist was very kind and welcoming. Pool and clean beach towels are available with no extra cost every day. Location was perfect, near lake Como and near CH border ( went there for shopping) . Breakfast, snacks , coctails and beverages was on the top and always available. Bar staf was very helpfull.

Nothing at all This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. The staff was extremely rude, unprofessional, and seemed to lack even the most basic understanding of hospitality and customer service. It is honestly surprising that a place operating at this standard is allowed to advertise itself as a hotel. What is advertised online is completely different from what is actually provided. The rooms were of very poor quality and felt more like cramped dormitory or servant quarters than hotel accommodations. The overall condition and quality were far below any reasonable expectation. To make matters worse, rather than taking accountability, they will likely attempt to justify their actions with excuses, but there is simply no justification for such poor service, misleading advertising, and lack of professionalism. Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here. You would genuinely be better off choosing almost any other option.

The hotel staff deserve a special mention. They were incredibly polite, friendly, and always willing to help. This is what I call exceptional service—genuine hospitality that makes you feel welcome and cared for. As for the food, I originally planned to have dinners in the town center, where most restaurants are located. But I quickly changed my mind. The hotel’s kitchen turned out to be a hidden gem. The meals were so delicious that I ended up wishing I had tried them from the very beginning. In summary, Hotel Merloni exceeded our expectations. If we ever return to this area, we will definitely stay here again.

Front desk staff the best. Good locstion near menaggio. I had a problem with car and the lady at the front desk was outstanding. No elevator to rooms located the next building, carrying luggage is not essy

We would like to say a big thank you for a wonderful stay at Hotel Merloni. We stayed here with our 4 year old for 3 nights. The room was quite basic but everything worked and it was super clean and the staff went above and beyond to help with any questions and made us feel welcome.

All in all a very nice and pleasant place with nice staff. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. I liked the fact that they had a yard and a private pool. The location is a 10-minute drive from Menaggio; in that case, a car is handy. The hotel has seen some time but feels clean overall. We had no blanket in our room, only one bed linen, but I am more than sure that we could have asked for some:)

Everything is nice and clean, big parking, very nice swimming pool. The territory near the pool is well-kept and very cozy. Internet was really good on all the territory of a hotel. It's about 7 minutes by car to Menagi center. Friendly staff. Breakfasts... I was very disappointed. There's simply nothing to eat there if you are vegetarians or trying to eat healthy. No choice of fruit or vegetables (I don't consider a single plate of sliced tomatoes to be vegetables). When you go to Italy, you expect to see fresh greens, vegetables and big choice of fruits. But definitely something more than one type of salami, two types of cheese and boiled eggs.. I would also like the yogurts to be portioned, and at least labeled (preferably in English too), because it's not clear what that white thing is on the plate, yogurt? mayonnaise? sauce?.. Sockets... there are very few sockets in the room and they are very strange.. I couldn't plug in either the hair dryer or the laptop. I could only charge my phone.

Very, very friendly staff. Nice pool and surrounding, Great places to eat close to the hotel. Food choices in the hotel quite limited and reservation in the morning required. Not spontatious possible.

Nice location, pool and staff, nice walking path from this location to Menaggio/lake Como

Very nice and welcoming staff, great pool area and wonderful views. You can chill by the pool and watch the mountains and nature without much city noise. The interior has sort of a grandmas house vibes which I like, it is very cute. Again the people working there really made our stay stand out from other hotels. Transportation is a bit difficult, I really recommend renting a car/scooter/ebike or else youre pretty stranded up there. If you rent an e-bike there is a super cool bike road all the way up from Menaggio.

They were very rude and didn't wanted to listen to us. The location was ok. Attitude of yhe persons on the reception was very bad.

The service was ridiculous! The hotel owners refused to give us a glass of ICE because we had not bought the WATER bottle from the. Later at night I had a glass bottle of a drink and I asked for them to lend me a bottle opener for 5 seconds to open my bottle and again they refused stating ironically that “ we have a bottle opener we are just not giving it to you because the drink was not bought here” During breakfast, the staff was hovering like vultures over our heads to see how much food we consumed and once I had left a sandwich on my plate (I was having a break to let all the food digest) and the server came and rudely pointed out that I am not to take the sandwich with me up in the room (Again, I was just sitting there with my sandwich on my plate, not intending to take anything with me). Overall the hotel amenities were decent, the location good for someone traveling with a car but the staff was incredibly inhospitable and definitely did not make us feel welcome. Do not recommend unless you are ready to be constantly lambasted in italian (the staff refuses to speak english even though they all know it)
