Holiday Inn Express Miami Airport Blue Lagoon Area by IHG

During our 2 night stay we had a very loud metal cranking coming from the AC the whole time it was being ran. Next the Hotel ignored our call for a shuttle for over 30 to 45min and even the 1800 number for holiday in couldn't get threw. finally after that time my wife was able to get a 1800 rep to get threw. Next when we asked for extra towels we were told the dod not have any?...then when we need toilet paper and kleenex because the room was poorly stocked they told me I had to co.e get them as they had no staff to brong them to our room. and the icing on the cake was the extremely I slated prices they had because it was a cruise departure weekend. just under 500$ a night for that kind a of price all of the above issues are expected not to be a problem. I would highly recommend avoiding this hotel unless its under 100$ a night as the service there barely hits that level. I was told to bad so sad for any type of compensation because I used hotels.com buyer beware.

The facility and rooms were very clean and welcoming. The staff was friendly. The beds were comfortable. However, our room AC was not working. We set it to 70 but it wouldn’t go lower than 77 degrees. That was way too hot for our family of five. We called the front desk at 10pm and they said the maintenance person had left and they could not help us until 11pm when someone else could help manage the front desk. We were exhausted and had to be up by 2:45am. We tried everything to fix the problem but nothing worked. We slept horribly. We would appreciate any attempt to make it right. It would have been a great stay had our room been comfortable to sleep in.

Property is immaculate clean staff is friendly. Breakfast is good.

Black curly hairs were in our bed when we checked in. Also, one of our rooms keys didn't work from the get-go. After the pool, the 2nd room key stopped working so we had to go down to the lobby all wet to get a new one and the attendant was rude.

The staff was very nice and helpful, Great location, the parking was available with no additional cost. Breakfast was good and with several options they had a very complete coffee station. Now the suite smell a little to humidity and the bathroom needs a refresh. (Bathtub and toilet) But the place was very clean. We had a good time

I liked everything about the hotel and staff.

Convenience, close to the airport. No Netflix, tv buffered and ice machine didn’t work on our floor.

Night check in was not good. They charged me a deposit which was NOT returned the next day as promised. And they weren’t even apologetic about it. The shuttle stops serving at 9 pm, not 12pm. But! The day time shuttle driver was awesome and helpful and kind. And the pool was lovely.
