The Chambers Hotel
About The Chambers Hotel
On the corner of 9th and Hennepin in the heart of Minneapolis’s historic theater district, The Chambers Hotel takes center stage. Built in 1908, The Chambers has had a front-row seat to the legendary Orpheum Theater’s groundbreaking performances, from the Marx Brothers’ vaudeville act to Prince’s hometown debut. Here at The Chambers, we, too, have a famous flair for the dramatic. Our 60 art-infused guestrooms and suites have walk-in rain showers (some of the suites also come with deep soaking tubs) and sweeping views of vibrant downtown. A lush courtyard with a fire pit are prime spots to admire the scenery on Hennepin Avenue. And 12,500 square feet of event space — including a pristine, blank-canvas gallery — await your creative touches. The skyway just steps from our door leads to the Target Center, Target Field, U.S. Bank Stadium, the Mississippi River and the colorful culture of the Twin Cities.

Big rooms

Stayed in one of the Studio Suites. The room was fantastic, everything else was not. Went to check in at 5 and the room wasn't ready. Staff was mostly unfriendly, and the whole vibe of the hotel was just a bit depressing. The continental breakfast was possibly the worst continental breakfast I have seen. Overall just not a great experience and would look elsewhere.

The room was spacious and very clean. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Although there is no parking onsite there is a secure ramp just around the corner which was a really affordable option.

Boutique style hotel in the heart of downtown Minneapolis makes everywhere walkable. Bed, sheets, pillows lull you off to sleep and the complete blackout curtains keep downtown lights from interfering. Shower is a high pressure rainstorm. Aveda products for added schzuzz.
-
Stayed in the suite, it was excellent. Zero useful amenities. The breakfast is honestly insulting. Staff was incredible. Location perfect.
-
Hotel was well located for the wedding we were attending. Parking was easy...about a block away at most. We got a great last minute deal on Expedia too!
-
Very convenient location. The room was clean. Some staff were friendly, but others not so much. Every morning we played the game "what will be missing from breakfast ". The first morning the coffee was ice cold probably left over from the day before and there was no milk. One day there were no forks available no juice available. One day there will be bagels, but no cream cheese. The next day there was cream cheese and no bagels.

A little run down and musty smelling. Room was clean.

Hotel was good. Cool decor. Room was clean. Good location to Target Field. Breakfast was okay. Went down around 8 am. Not much there. Expected more than microwave breakfast sandwich and small muffin.
-
Great location, staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bed wasn’t as comfortable as most hotel beds, specifically the pillows could be improved.
-
So close to target center/field and walking distance to great restaurants and shops. The staff was incredibly helpful and the rooms were very comfortable. Everything was great

Hotel was way under staffed. Check in time was 3:00p.m. Our room was still not available at 4:00pm. We were not able to get access to our room until 6:00pm. Hotel did not offer any kind of reimbursement what so ever. Would not recommend this hotel.
-
No on site parking, which was tricky with Wicked performing nearby at The Orpheum Theater. Room has several lamps without working bulbs. Room was clean and amenities were good. Breakfast was a little lack luster and simple. Overall a good stay, but could be better.

We had a reservation at another hotel. Upon arrival; they informed us that do to scheduled renovations ther would be no water during the day and the ac may not work. It was 95 degrees. All of the other hotels in the area were sat least double of the rate we had booked; including the hotel we booked. The Chambers was the only hotel with rooms rates comparable. It was just a few blocks away and was probably better than the Hilton we had booded.

Lack of staff on Sunday morning
